Mustread The one product/community/site that’s had the most impact on your earnings…

What is the top site/blog/forum/community/person that’s had the most positive impact on your earnings?

For me, it was Traffic Equalizer (before you go out and buy it…. it won’t do shit for you now.. and the forum is dead). Back in 2004/2005 the traffic equalizer private forum was fucking oozing with information and tips/tricks on how to make money online. The quality and quantity of information was unreal… I could not go a day without spending hours participating in the forum.

The reason I’m bringing this up now is because I was checking over my adsense stats and I’m still seeing sites making cash from shitty scraper TE sites (heavily modified templates). I also credit the TE forum for getting me an invite to a “private” forum of marketers that shared secrets that are not available to the “average joe” SEMs.

My question is… what has made a difference for you?

Don’t PM me with shit… I’m not here to promote anything. What has been the best investment in Internet Marketing material that has paid off by filling your bank account?

Signing up here. I turned 3 hours of work into $700. Sounds damn good to me. Now I just need to find a way to replicate it and make some bank.

Gratz to you on the $700... but I was hoping to find people that have earned 6-figures or more with Internet Marketing programs.

Digital Point.

Just Kidding. I don't even have an account there. I just wanted to see if I could make Seocracy's blood boil just a little bit more today.

Well its hard to put a finger on a lot of things since its a ton of stuff I've absorbed since joining.

I got involved with PPC for the first time because of WF and that bastard ChrisLingle and his Arbi thread.

In general WF has opened my eyes to AM. And most importantly, I've made a ton of new contact since joining, many of which I'd consider friends. Though I wouldn't say I've become completely successful, I'm actually far from being able to say I'm successful, but I now know that AM is what I want to do for my career and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

Sorry, I'm kinda rambling now...

TEST TEST TEST, one of the more important things I've learned here. You really arent going to get anywhere in this business by being a pussy.

Next step...

Try to get my profits up by the end of October when I plan to do this nearly full time, I hope.

I'm going to say WickedFire too. Before I came here, I barely even knew what adsense was or what PPC meant. Fast forward about 8 months later, and I now make my living online. Listen up people, 100% of the knowledge you need is right in front of you in this forum - it's up to you to learn it and apply it.

You didn't put "positive" in the title... anyway both positive and negative (waste too much time!) WickedFire, combined with bluehatseo and the SQUIRT forum.

Bit of a double-edged sword really, the places that teach you the most also lose you the most time.

Good call... the most "POSITIVE" impact. And please give a date that you have joined so we don't get these 2007 wannabes that stumbled onto this forum.

Actually, give us the "NEGATIVE" response so we know to stay away.

I actually started my first website in April 2006. I knew nothing about monetization or even how to make a good website. I learned everything from the ground up - starting with basic HTML. My first site was basically just a place I posted humor articles I had written or links to things I found interesting. By some miracle, it actually developed a small fanbase although not enough to earn a living from it.

After about 9 months of running this website, and only making about $25/mo from it, I discovered Wickedfire.

I was instantly hooked by the vast amount of knowledge here. I learned about monetization, affiliate marketing, SEO, and all that good stuff. I asked many stupid questions here and got flamed many times, but I took it like a man, never gave up, and learned to read between the lines. After many sleepless nights of reading and testing, I started to see results. Over the course of about 8 months I went from a complete newbie to full time income online. Now, I own a network of sites that I SEO'd for organic traffic and use my knowledge to design websites/LPs for people ( shameless plug. ).

It definitely wasn't an overnight success story, but I make my living online now. It takes alot of patience and passion to make it work. All the newbies trying to learn the ropes - just hang in there - it'll all click one day. But, you still have to work at it and give it 100%. Here's the best advice I can give - You can't be scared to spend money and take some losses. It's part of the game.

This really makes sense for those of us that are in the domain buying field.
