Let's assume that only someone with an IQ under 80 (according to a current scoring system) would participate in "the knockout game," and also assume that the lower echelon is 70-90. If 70-90 is eradicated and 90-110 becomes the new "lower echelon," this doesn't mean that someone with an IQ of 110 is suddenly going to devolve into acting like a sub-human. If you were to wipe out the bottom sector year-to-year, the actual brainpower and knowledge possessed by the current top tier would decrease by exactly 0.
