OK, I've seen quite a lot of warez sites on the net, and I am currently considering purchasing a warez forum off someone. I want to make several things clear:
1 - Am I ok if none of the files are hosted on my server, and all download links point elsewhere (e.g. rapidshare, megaupload, etc) 2 - If not, and if the whole warez thing is risky, then how the fuck are there big warez sites like Warez.com still operating perfectly with the highest positions in Google? 3 - Adsense isn't permitted I know (I'm banned anyway, fuckers...), but do you think monitising a warez site with cpa offers will be tolerated by the main networks?

Well, ask them, official statements can be very different from the real deals they make...but I'd stay away from it, I doubt the risk vs reward is worth it. Since I'm producing some content myself, my tolerance for this kind of shit is pretty low. It's theft.

If hosting is a problem, I know some people. Give me a PM.
But you're going to take heat (cease and desists) no matter what. With a proper server(see above), they'll just ignore the complaints, and your name won't be connected to it. But to do that deal, I'd make sure anyone you advertise with, or for, is a non-US company, that would just ignore basic BS trying to figure out who you are. ::cough:: russians. You're definitely in some legal gray area though. It might help if there is NO moderation on the forum. Put in good anti-spam captchas and the like, and just let it roll. If there's no one monitoring or modding the contents, you have a bit more of an excuse for any user generated content. |
