Would like input from experienced publishers etc

I would like to take some input form old hats in the marketing/publishing arena. I have setup a link portal and would like some feedback on what categories I should add.

The site is basically a simple to navigate repository of service providers and links for great worth for those who are either in or want to get into publishing/marketing etc.

The idea works like this:

Person “A” has an idea for a web site or a niche market. They need a coder to code some features, a designer to make a nice landing page, then a person to write some articles and someone to submit to PR sites etc.

Person “B” has a site they want to sell but does not know where to go to get the best sale. They may also want to trade the site.

Person “C” is completely new to the industry and has some cash to invest but where to start?

So this site is kind of like the yellow pages for publishers/marketers. It is totally free and asks nothing in return. So what I would like to know is what would you like to see featured on the web site, what categories etc.

Perhaps let me know some of the times you had an idea but where not sure where to turn to, would a site like this help? It would like links in categories and by popularity etc so it is totally user controlled and performance based.

I have the code all setup and ready to go. Domain etc so as I collate infos here I will input to the site. Hoping to release this in the next week for everyone to use.

I know how hard it can be to find the right freelancer/contractor/firm. I was like that for a few years (until I started doing everything myself). It would be great if we could all have a single source and know that what we click we will find a good provider.

Kai.

No one experienced around here then?

Everyone has gotten exactly what they needed first time?

Everyone has a full team of dedicated coders, designer, marketers etc?

Great. Dont need to make this site then.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but it sounds like you are going to be making a webmaster directory. If thats what it is there is already plenty of those out there.
