Fake Files on Server [Scre up Help] - WickedFire - Affiliate Marketing Forum

I need to give an asshole some files, but am too lazy to upload and wish to screw him up. They are Video files, is there some way I could for example, show a dummy file on the server with a fake file size ?

For example two avi files on 800 MB each, he sits for days downloading and nothing ?

Help Needed!

Are you wanting to have a small file look like a very large file that he would attempt to download?

No, I suppose you could zip a ninstall cd or music cd or even a dvd with a password and rename it with a .mov extension so it looked like a movie but he couldn't do anything with it.

Odd request tho.

Besides, do you want someone downloading 800mb files all day when they are junk, eating up your bandwidth?

If you know how to edit movies, just take a picture, and put it over the whole movie. So when he downloads it, he gets the audio but the visual is a still frame of something completely un related....

Some douchebag at my school is constantly doing that to movies that come out.

I want to create anything without going through the trouble of uploading soooo much on the server.

Anyway, I could create a large file on the server itself ?

You can do something with "head -c m 800 | cat /dev/random > FILENAME" if you have shell access. You also should take a look at mod_bandwidth if you really want to annoy him.
