Someone I know was smart enough to buy the domain www.domains.org some time ago.

Currently they make all of their revenue from a link to a godaddy reseller account. They have offered to cut me in if I can triple the amount the site makes.

So just what would you do to monetize this sucker? It has a new css design that was just put on it and some content added. Because it really wasn't touched for years, it gets most of its traffic from yahoo and is way low in other search engines.

Help me out buds! Is this worth my time?

There is so much cash in a domain like that, reselling to godaddy is the safe and stupid way to go.

Thanks for the offer imagenesis. I kind of want the learning experience of this, and I'm sure it will help other people out as well if it is discussed.

Here is what I am thinking of doing:

1. Adding a lot of content
2. Submitting to directories
3. Optimizing for search engines (meta, keywords, etc)
4. Link swapping

Now I know visitors = money. So after I get more coming:

1. Sell ad space to internet/domain related companies.
2. Review hosting companies (affiliate link)
3. Maybe put up some commision junction ads?

This plan might change a bit. Jon suggested in the latest lightening round (awesome btw) to research some of the larger domain/internet related sites and see what they are doing.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm new to most of this.
