Question Facebook Beacon

No automatic sign up. I was hoping to experiment with Beacon on a site that I'm launching in January. Anyone signed up with Beacon yet? Seems like a helluva awesome traffic source if you have site users with a lot of connections and something that's kinda socially worthy.

I was also thinking about linking Beacon with a survey site that I built for myspace about 3 years ago.

Anyways. Anyone play around with this yet? What do the facebookers want in return for getting to implement Beacon?

If and when they get back to you, post up what the requirements are. I get the feeling they're linking Beacon with some sort of advertising package. . .

Me too. Do a search on google to look up more stuff on beacon. I noticed somewhere they said only like 40 websites have it installed now. Websites like Fandango that get a shit ton of traffic

Yeah I've looked around on Google, saw a few of these lists, and yep, it looks like only about 50 medium to large players are on board.

I'm just really curious how the arrangement works out. Is there a pay-per-beacon that these companies are paying? Or is it attached to an advertising package with SocialAds? Or is it just a free developer tool that assumes that the relationship is a two way deal (ie Facebook gets more / better user info and usage while the site gets potentially new traffic sources).
