The Rio is so freaking far off the strip though, eh?

anyways I had my agent do some digging and the cheapest flight he could get was roundtrip from Vancouver to Vegas 395.15 CAD on Alaska Airways.

I might try to avail myself of the suites reserved for ASWers at the Rio....the cheapest Rio suite avail to public is 150.00 USD /night

I'd prefer to stay at Wynns or someplace on the strip and just cab it to the events....

where is everyone else staying?

I'll be heading that way as well. I promised myself I was never going back to Vegas until I was at least 21 so now it is time to do big things.

Most of you guys just gonna stay at the Rio? Convention rate seems reasonable, although the Rio isn't exactly in the middle of the strip (or even on it

Venetian is the shit. Their new hotel/casino, the Pallazo, will be open by Affiliate Summit West, which should definitely be worth checking out too.

For anyone looking into getting the $99 exhibit hall pass you better make up your minds cause the price goes up on the 21st!! I gotta figure out if I'm really gonna go this year or not.

Jon, is WF going to be giving away tons of free passes again?

based on recent experience its actually cheaper to go direct through the airline website. For hotel, hotwire.com gets you a good deal.

Generally, the consolidators/airline search engines are a bad deal these days.

i think the convention rate is pretty ok.

if you want to look at airfare/hotel deals, i've found that cheapfares.com or cheaptickets.com give a much better deal than travelocity or the bigger travel sites.

you can also check the user reviews which have useful info like 'cockroaches running across the room in the middle of the night' for some of the cruddier joints..
