That's not the point. The point is that people "expect" it. Maybe she never asked him. Or she did and he said no. I don't care. It's none of my business because that wasn't part of the deal. The deal was donate, get value, Andrea goes to Vegas and I get to live vicariously through her while she is there.

like blondetm said above, i'm offering something in return (text link) for the donation. as far as my brother goes, it's not his responsibility to pay for me to go to a conference. we won't be doing business together when we're there or benefiting from it in a business sense...therefore there is no reason to involve him.

Why is everyone blowing this out of proportion? She's selling text links on her blog. Is that a big deal? The money just so happens to be going towards ASW. Stop being so ignorant -- not everyone has deep pockets.

Plus, Andrea is quite awesome.

You haters need to calm down. I'm sure if Andrea had something wrong w/ her and she was gonna die shoe would be the first in line to help pay for surgery(etc). Going to a conference more on the luxury side of things. I do pretty well online. I sure as hell don't want to pay for my families vacations, would you? Sure, if your family needs some help out ocassionally you'd be more than willing to help. But help send them to vegas?!?!.

I'm friends w/ andrea. I understand that she lives a normal life of a person going to school. I know alot of people on this forum that would rather shell out a couple bucks to make sure all there friends get there then to have them not there.

Why do you think Shawn Collins and Jon work so hard to get free tickets to WF members who are in the business that probably wouldn't go otherwise? This is the same thing.
