All of these fucking guys are NOT experts at anything, except for marketing their blogs and convincing the world that they matter in the industry. I am so tired of people talking about them, like what they blog about or say on their over-exaggerated radio shows/podcasts/vlogs is the most amazing thing in the world, aahhhhhhh!!
None of them are "super affiliates". I promise. They aren't. Never have been, and never will be. Well, that is unless Photoshop crumbles and dies. It's gotten to the point now where it's absolutely INSULTING to be part of an industry in which people still believe that Shoemoney is not bias in any of his "reviews", or that what he blogs about actually matters. It's pretty obvious that after one very drunken night, Jared from the Subway commercials and Mr. Clean hooked up and their illegitimate love child.. Shoemoney was born. We're still a little unsure as to who's asshole he came out of, but either way, it wasn't a clean one, and the proof is pretty obvious even today! Here's a hot tip for everyone to digest.. Aside for getting caught lying about Dmoz banning him (when Shawn Collins - a former Dmoz Editor proved right here on WickedFire, that Shoemoney did in fact offer a BRIBE to Dmoz.org only to be banned for doing so), or that with AuctionAds he magically lost all of the revenues from referrals (we had over 100 here, and then one day, poof, gone and never to return!). I mean the guy sets himself up for failure, time and time again, and everyone just drinks from the fucking Koolaid, over and over again! No wonder Yahoo banned him from sending over what had to have been the SHITTIEST traffic, EVER! Doesn't anyone even realize that if that were to happen to me, that last thing I would do is blog about it, because he was pretty much announcing that he had the scammiest traffic ever because they were all REFUNDS AND CHARGEBACKS!!! What about John Chow. Now, I have nothing personal against the guy. He really is a nice guy. He doesn't lie. He's well mannered, but why don't you guys pay attention to the fine print here. He started blogging about how to make money online about a year ago. Right, nothing wrong with that. But he doesn't actually blog about making money per se. Instead, he blogs about what people suggest on other blogs on how they THINK you should go about it, because when it all comes down to it, he's never really done affiliate marketing since he started last year... on his fucking blog! Don't you guys see it??? Seriously now. I'm not ranting and raving like a lunatic for my health.. I'm just shocked that no one seems to realize this, and so many people are such giant pussies, and don't want to disagree with the crowd, so they all go along with it -- "Yeah, he's an expert" or "Yeah, let him speak at the show". WHAT THE FUCK?! Since when does someone like John Chow, who asked me about a year ago on AIM, of "what exactly is affiliate marketing"!!!!!!!!!! And now he's going to speak on the fucking topic?!?! Are you INSANE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? It's like saying that Dr. Phil has more than two topics to cover on his show!! Cmon, every fat lazy fuck in the South knows better than that! Fools! Another winner.. This Super Affiliate Mindset from India. Where the hell did this douche come from? I mean, aside for OBVIOUSLY having the greatest fashion sense in the entire industry, not to mention, he is definitely an expert in picking the gayest photos of himself on his own blog... oh no, you're married to a woman, of course you are Amit, no one would ever think otherwise... ![]() ![]() Wait for it... Wait for it... ![]() Bam! Does this guy have an eye for really expensive art pieces for his wall or what! You know what I love about this picture right here.. aside for the fact that he's sporting the pants pulled up too high and too tightly (cmon dude, you have a gut, stop using your elite gut cloaking methods, you're not fooling anyone) but that he wrote under this photo on his blog: "You know you're a super affiliate when you get that mini-fridge in the mail! LOL" As opposed to getting it by flying fucking carpet? Oh wait.. you meant because you're such a big spender, that by rewarding you, Google thought to themselves "hey, what does Amit NOT have out there in India.. I know, a fucking fridge!". Guess what Amit.. You fucking Camel turd.. Google sends out toys to everyone, it's just the really full of themself douchebags that post about their little prizes on their blogs. I swear.. I can go on for hours here.. But I won't, because I need to get my cranky ass to bed. So at least take into consideration next time you see one of these guys blog about how much they are making, or how fucking smart they are, and ask yourself.. IF YOU ARE SUCH A FUCKING SEO/SEM OR SUPER AFFILIATE.. WHY DO YOUR BLOGS NEVER RANK IN GOOGLE FOR KEYWORDS YOU'RE SO OBVIOUSLY AIMING FOR?? AND WHY DO THE WORST ADVERTISERS, LIKE THE MLM, GET RICH QUICK SCHEMERS, OR ALLOWING ONE OF THE SHADIEST NETWORKS LIKE CLICKBOOTH TO ADVERTISE ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH THEIR LIES? YOU GUYS CLAIM TO HAVE ETHICS AND MORALS, EXCEPT.. YOU DON'T. It's no wonder that you people always have to band together and feed off one another in order to stay "popular". Should we call this "incestual marketing"? So for the industry's sake... please... stop believing their bullshit, and just use your common sense. I don't care if you don't like me or my blog or even WickedFire, but for your own good... ENOUGH ALREADY! /rant

I agree with you 100% w/ Shoemoney and John Chow, and I think they both know it too, but I think you crossed the line with Amit. He is doing very decent revenues (known through avenues other than his blog) but chooses to monetize his success story and take advantage of the current IM boom. There is nothing wrong with that.

personal attacks aside, they do serve their purpose in the online ecosystem. they attract the noobs and give them mental masturbation material which almost assures they're glued to the RSS feed and go nowhere.
i can live with that. if they actually spoon-fed people with proper info, that might vex me. who would want increased competition and saturation? as much as i want to agree with you Jon, and as much as i hate to say it, they have a role. the wiser people, naturally, should see right through them. |

lol. i am really surprised, that after that many years in the business you still have the passion for such a rant
don't we find this certain type of people who boast, if even not lie, about their achievements in all those industries, where profits are hard to verify and fiction is hard to separate from facts? everywhere where it does not need a brick & mortar type of business setup you will find those scammers. somehow, some manage to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy, in that aspect that their lies gain a value in themselves because people need them in order to believe the hype. everyone with more than three braincells knows, that once you really have setup a profitable business, quite some effort goes into protecting this intellectual property aka "the business case". but it is greed, which makes people behaving irrational and desperate. hence people believe that someone would sell the opportunity to earn 100k for 99.95 i am working as a it programme manager in the investment banking area for a large bank and believe me: what you can see here happening in the "small" internet marketing business is almost nothing compared to what goes on in the financial world. the internet is booming for sure, but compare that with a 15 billion usd turnover per single trading day in the fx markets. just look up how many "self-made" millionaries you will find that will teach you their daytrading tips and such. and this goes from the very bottom of clients to the very top, only the names change. of course, we as a reputable bank don't sell trading signals to clients. but we charge them silly on personal consultation fees which we call the "platin funds management" service ![]() of course, as a bank and in a client-relationship you have to be profitable over time for your client in order to stay in business. and that is, what wonders me the most. you almost never hear anyone complaining about the most senseless kind of advise those "gurus" give and they all got a reputation that is built on nothing but rumors. and then we see pics from apartements like the one above and you really ask yourself where all those millions of profit go to ![]()

I always enjoy the 3am rants. I tend to do that as well ( and it's when I usually make money).
FWIW, I have never found a single tip for actually making money on Chow or Shoe or whothefuckever blog about making money. But I have made money at 3 or 4 in the morning from ideas on Jon's and other blogs- mostly people that rarely blog because they are probably too busy actually doing shit. |

Ok Jon, I'll give you Shoemoney and John Chow. Those guys really "specialize" in nothing, except for blogging. Their blogs are mainly their "personal rants about anything and everything." I don't think their goal is even to give good advice, their goal is just to make their blog interesting. It's more like entertainment.
But then there are people like Amit (Super Affiliate MIndset). Ok this guy's corney, but he's a real affiliate. He's got the black card and claims $90k a month in profit. I think he's the real deal. UberAffiliate is another good blog, Zac Johnson's blog is useful too. They aren't absolute noob blogs. Intermediate? Yes. But don't knock them, many of them give good advice. And come on Jon, like you don't do shameless promotion/linkbait? |

how do you KNOW he pulls 90k? It doesn't LOOK like it. Face it, easier to make quick cash in this biz by sucking on noobs than by actually doing any work. Shame some of us actually DO have morals, cos I'm starting to get tired too.
I have an 'inny', btw. |

ShoeMoney I know for a fact is a photoshop faker. One of our members here was doing the same thing. Fake it till you make it!
John Chow...all he does is make dumb posts for his sheeple and unfortunately seasoned guys are getting caught up with the bullshit. Now Amit is actually not so bad like those two fukks above. You gotta admit he does make money. But a lot of guys make way more cash than him and don't follow the hype. Paul from UberAffiliate was following the faking shit but at least he posts good info. Finally, Zac Johnson is ok coz atleast he posts ways to make money. |

I love the fact shoemoney calls out... people for doing shady dating mobile traffic meanwhile on nextpimp he's got the same offer running that he's calling out. (don't worry we really know you get little/no traffic on there for it to matter)
Also, He calls out the Ringtone Guy... And disses CPAE. The guy started w/ azoogle and was using azoogle for a long time. He didn't name drop azoogle at all did he? Nope. I could go through the archives and go all night. |

The new generation is here, Paul from UberAffiliate and John from JonathanVolk, they are the new breed. Those two provide the most useful stuff I have seen yet. I've been following these guys since their days of dumping 10,000 keywords into a ringtone campaigns.

Jon, I agree with what you are saying. However these types of people exist in ever industry, not just affiliate marketing. They market themselves towards people new to affiliate marketing because they don't know any better.
I actually don't know any blog that really caters toward more advanced marketers. I think you get to a certain level where it's really all about your own creativity, testing, etc. Once you've learned the basics + mediocre techniques, there's not a whole lot more anyone can do to take you to a more advanced level. Here's another thing; no one ever wants to share their secrets. Even I'm guilty of this. If I went out and shared exactly what works, rather than looking at why it works, people would just copy it and the technique would disappear. The last point I want to make is that the reason a lot of folks (esp. more experience folks) keep their mouth shut when it comes to people like this is that they don't want to ruffle any feathers in the industry; it IS still a small industry and you're going to see them at shows, conferences, etc., so people just keep their opinions to themselves, good or bad. In my opinion, the best and most informative blogs are actually not affiliate marketing blogs at all. I read stuff like SEOMoz, MarketingSherpa, CopyBlogger, etc and apply these techniques to my campaigns. There's a lot more valuable information there than reading about how much money John Chow made last month. |
