I find the other blogs mentioned here very helpful...

....they help me not make too much money, so I don't have to pay the IRS so much....

Kinda like the National Enquirer. You waste time reading it every now and then, and afterwards, you want that time you wasted back....

honestly i can't care less about them. true or false what really matters is that they were able to create around themselves and made it profitable.

a lot of people writing in this thread probably wish they could do the same.

do you think that telling bullshit to make money off of newbies and making with ringtones campaign using bh techniques are morally different? no.
everybody is here for the same reason: making money. let the guys do their job in the way the prefer.

That is the problem though. A lot of people think those are essentially the only two roads to make money in this scene. Either prey on those who want to get rich quick, or use blackhat techniques to make money pushing traffic. It is possible to make money doing neither of those things.

I jumped on a bunch of people here in another thread because of their "snitches get stitches" mentality (very 10 year old/waiting to be raped in prison of people who think this), and it was funny to see ShoeMoney assume the same position because essentially he admits his hands are not clean.

Is it harder row to hoe trying to be above board whenever possible? I guess so. Because I never set out to be deceptive or dishonest in my practices. Does that mean things come up that you later realize were not right? Sure thing, but in general it is possible to make money and be successful without walking on their darkside.

I think many of the resources mentioned here can be useful as long as you view them with your eyes wide open.

Shoemoney was nobody at all until he met David Naylor at a conference in the states. Dave (a respected uk seo) basically said "hey check this guy out he's my friend now" and it all started there. Can't find the post but thats what happened.

I really wish I had some kind of filter to stop Shoemoney stuff reaching my screen - but some always seems to make it through. It's like trying to dam a river full of fast flowing shit.
