Tip for avoiding invalid AdSense clicks - WickedFire - Affiliate Marketing Forum

When setting up one of my sites, I accidentally clicked on one of the ads. I wrote to Google to let them know about it, and they told me about this little gem:

google_adtest='on';

Insert that into your Adsense script section and you won't record any clicks or impressions. If you know about scripting (either client- or server-side), you could pretty easily put it in a conditional statement that checks if the IP address is your test machine.

That is crazy, all you see on sites like DP and SP is people getting banned for clicking their own ads and I have never seen this before.

In addition, You can also change your pub id to 'pub-googleIamTesting' while aligning those images next to your links.

Also guys, if you use firefox and have greasemonkey(a plugin,...easily installable, just if you want to install or not) then there is a script to prevent your click on your adsense for following through. http://www.homelandstupidity.us/soft...revent-clicks/
