I was talking to forum members today about how annoying it can be to be Rickrolled when you're in the middle of something, so I took a few minutes out of my day to create what I call the Astley Condom:

Any firefox developers out there? Build a plugin for it.

Frankly the idea is not to go to the site every time just to check it, but to ultimately to build some sort of Firefox plugin that tells you right there. This is the short term solution.

I have a friend who programs firefox plugins really well. I am going to speak with him in regards to this. He'll probably think I'm an idiot once I mention Rick Astley however.

I no longer surf this forum with javascript enabled. It was mildly amusing the first 5000 times it happened. Now it's just gotten old.

yeah i learned long ago to disable javascript before even thinking about clicking a link on this forum.
