I would give the grammar and spelling an A+, but I completely forgot that there's an A++.

I'm going to be so rich...

You should reply with how amazing that is because you were friends with A'gep Mkimbo, an African entrepreneur in the USA, and that the IRS is going to confiscate all his money now that he's dead, unless you can funnel it back into Nigeria where the Government isn't actively pursuing tax fraud.

MCRunning, there is nothing in that email to suggest that it originated from Nigeria. Whatever prejudice you may have against citizens of any country, it is better to treat every case on its own merit.

If you consider this to be a scam letter, fine. Simply, leave it as that, unless you investigated to find out where the email actually came from.

You are an idiot.

It is called a 419 scam.

The 419 in the name refers to an article of the Nigerian Criminal Code.

It is a well known scam that originated in Nigeria and is still being done by people based in Nigeria about 99.9% of the time.

The address listed in the email is for Togo, which is very close to Nigeria.

He is Nigerian

Do you guys ever watch the soft news shows on channels like Fox11?
The ones where they get the scammers to come over to supposedly complete the deal. They get to the hotel room, the scammers realize that they've been had and are about to be outed on (inter)national TV, and they start running... You can practically hear the Benny Hill them music.
I love those reports, because if they do end up catching them, it's always funny hearing the scammers try to justify their actions... Or break down and cry like sissy bitches.

LOL - Sounds like some "To Catch A Predator" type of shit. I love when they say, "No, I was just here to be friends, not have sex with a 14 year old, I swear!" (Even though he drove 14 hours to her house with a box of rubbers and some razor blades)
