Would a n00b full-disclosure case study be any value? - WickedFire - Affiliate Marketing Forum

Hello,

I'm wondering if it would be useful to people to see the first steps (in full and graphic detal) a n00b like me goes through when starting out in this game.

At this stage I am far more interested in learning as much as possible rather than trying to make a quick buck (heh, I know that if I want to do that, all I need to do is invest $97 in a wonderful ebook), so I thought this might be good for a laugh.

A bit of background on me - I've got about 10 years experience in none-Internet business (inc. a good chunk of sales & marketing). I've been using the 'net for one thing or another since 1996, and am kicking myself for not having got into the Internet marketing game earlier, instead of spending all my time on warez & hacking forums (and trying to get free pr0n of course

).

So far I've picked a niche, registered a domain and got some hosting.

My next step will be to get some content and try out different methods of getting traffic and monetising it.

I'm quite happy to put up the site details, keywords, strategy etc so that people can see what's really going on.

My aims in publicising this would be to:

1. Show both the experiments and lessons I go through. What works for me and what doesn't, the decisions I make and the thinking behind it.
2. Give others the confidence to JFDI and start learning.
3. Get some feedback from all and sundry on what I'm doing - so I can learn faster.
4. Probably make a spectacle of myself. I usually end up doing that in real life anyway, so I might as well be consistent.

Damn, you been here since April of LAST year and you're just now making your first steps? This may work but it seems like just whoring for attention.

If you're going to do it, do it. You should know how the forum works by now to not even need to make this type of thread. Just make it happen. No matter what you'll learn something.

every little noob case study has always fizzled out... if you can keep it up you'll get a following but most people that have been around here a while dont care anymore

where? In the paid section? I say go for it, if it will help you learn and stick to it do it. I am sure others here will learn from it as well.

My only problem was that they sizzled away very quickly.

Search for "my road to..." or similar things.
