I'm sitting on my couch, with iTunes open, and can't help but be disappointed with my music collection. So I ask: What bands are your faves? Any particular songs your into at the moment? I wanna Rock!!!
My recent favorites are: Chiodos on purevolume™ Memphis May Fire on purevolume™ The Hoodies on purevolume™ P.S. If you play the guitar, F.U. for having talent. (jk) |

At this moment I am listening to:
Jay-Z - Pray off of the American Gangster album. Hip-Hop always puts me in the mood to make money. My favorite new band is Kings of Leon. They are hard to describe. Maybe smart indie rock meets southern rock? Check em out. YouTube - Kings of Leon - Fans BTW Pandora.com is the shit. Couple it with PandoraJam so you can record every song to iTunes and you're set for life.

there are no band better than Rage Against the Machine. The Battle of Los Angeles is my top album of all time.
Every band member--especially guitarist Tom Morello and vocalist Zach de la Rocha-- are at the top of their game, here, and this C.D. just sounds awesome! "The Battle of Los Angeles" is possibly Rage's heaviest and angriest effort, and almost every song is a hit. It's hard to pick best songs, but the radio hit "Guerilla Radio" (which has great riffs, angry rapping, and lots of yelling), "Testify," "Ashes in the Fall" (which is a song where Zach builds from a whisper to a yell), "War Within a Breath," and my personal favorite, "Sleep Now In the Fire" stand out the most. |

Old Tim McGraw is okay, all of his new shit sucks... George Strait is awesome.. Reba and Trisha both suck horrrrrrrribly along with Taylor Swift and Gretchen Wilson For country, id probably say Gary Allan and Jason Aldean are the best out there these days.... Ive been listening to Saliva - All Because of You lately and a whole lot of techno... |

Arggggg Lazy, why did you have to mention Saliva.
"I feel Like you don't want me around I guess I'll pack all my things I guess I'll see you around It's all Been bottled up until now As I walk out your door All I can hear is the sound" or... " Click, Click Boom. I'm coming down on the stereo, hear me on the radio, click, click boom. I'm coming down with the new style and you know it's buck wild. Click, Click Boom I'm on the radio station touring round the nation, leaving the scene in devastation." Kill me now! j/k bud.Quote:

Ibiza Beach Anthems Penthouse Ibiza Tiesto Erotic Lounge Ministry of Sound Bar Lounge Classics Ocassionally 80's RnB 80's Pop 60's and 70's Rock and Funk Curtis Mayfield, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire I like country but the only CD I listen too is Brad Paisley - Time Well Wasted. I would love some other suggestions with a similar feel. |

Too much shit to list really... I still don't have nearly as much music as I used too just because I'm too lazy to download stuff.
But recently.... Andy C Pendulum Bob Marley Slightly Stoopid System of a Down Cake Mindless Self Indulgence Spoon At the Drive-In Reel Big Fish Streetlight Manifesto Beatles RX Bandits Sublime White Stripes Gogol Bordello and more.... Anyone going to Bonarroo this summer to see Tiesto as well as a bunch of awesome bands? Not the best lineup... but still. EDIT: Oh and I'm going to see Armin Van Buuren later this month, tis' gonna be badass

Fuck, I listen to everything - usually stick 250Gb of music on random and it does get very random. (Just had Bowie->Lennon->Some trance track->Saul Williams->Ani DiFranco->Metallica)
A few current faves: Pendulum Billy Bragg Portishead - Their new album is amazing! Infected Mushroom Arcade Fire Nick Cave Pink Floyd (always love a bit of Floyd! )

Hip Hop. Lupe Fiasco most recently. Other than that, mostly progressive-style hip hop, kanye west, common - no dirty south bullshit - maybe because I'm from the midwest too... Just a more intelligent sound than other stuff out there.
Otherwise whatever dance / club music is hot. Cascada is prety popular right now. |

ChrisS, you'd love Glastonbury this year - Jay Z and Kings of Leon headlining. (Personally, although I really like KoL I was a bit disappointed at those headliners.)
Today I've been listening to a lot of my friend Adam's stuff, gonna remix one of his songs and gotta decide which one. Country has got to be the only genre of music I can say I generally dislike, with the notable exception of the man - Johnny Cash. You guys heard his cover of Nine Inch Nail's Hurt? One of the most moving songs I have ever heard, and the video had me close to tears. So fucking powerful. Oh and the country version of Gin 'n' Juice is fuckin great too! (anyone know who did that?)
