Democrats seem to be for Big Government, and Republicans tend to promote Big Business. After reading this I am left wondering if there is a difference?

There isn't anymore. The Republican party used to be fiscally conservative. That was thrown out the window when the Bush Administration got in office and the Republican held congress feels the liberty to pass anything and everything that comes into their porkin minds.
And we all know the Democrats aren't a solution at all since they have always wanted to tax the shit out of anyone that makes a decent amount of money. Hilary Clinton anyone? ugh. I don't want the government deciding what is the best thing to do with my money. Support Libertarians and Independents. |

yeah the republicans had this very successful lock box they were going to keep all the surplus money in.. soon as they got elected that lock box disappeared
Im not a Democrat or a republican, because both parties are full of hypocrites the only 2 parties that I support are the marijuana party and the pirate party |

Less spending...
Less taxing... And much less intrusion. The gov't redtape when starting a business is insane. Filling out W-Something forms for affiliate programs annoys the hell of me. I even had to fill out some patriot act form to accept more than 25k in credit card transactions per month... This is just stupid. I grew up hearing "It's a free country." but as an adult I just don't see it that way anymore... |

stanley the lockbox bullshit was Al Gore! But I understand what you mean. I agree that there are problems but supporting an independent is more like a no vote than a vote. What I mean is a dem or rep is going to win. When you vote, if you do not look at it realisticly, and you support someone who will get less than 10% of the vote I think your vote is waisted. There should be a 3 or 4 party system but it will be a while until it happens if ever. In my book vote Republican down the line. Sure there are idiots there and they spend to much on shit and that has to get under control but the alternative should scare the shit out of you!

A number of countries now enjoy more economic freedom. http://www.heritage.org/research/fea.../countries.cfm A great country and a great government are 2 VASTLY different things. I love what this country was founded on. But honestly... the only reason I still live here is friends and family. I can't stand having to answer to anyone, and our current nanny-state demands it. |

Keep in mind, most elections win by a few percentage points. If 5 or 10% voted for freedom then both parties would have to move in that direction to get elected. |
