Orly Adobe CS3 Problem

I keep getting this error when I try to use my texttool in CS3

Quote:
Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialized
Many of my tools would do the same thing, so i reinstalled it and now they appear to work but still my text tool isn't. Any ideas?

have you checked to see if your anti-virus is stopping it? Maybe there is a limit to the number of fonts you can have?

Edit: Adobe Forums - CS3 Extended - TEXT error coming up

no antivirus running. I stopped all the services. Good suggestion though.
I don't have any font packs or fonts that didn't come with vista.

Wow! Eli.. I have taken so much from ... it'd be great to be able to help you...

It's because of a recent/corrupted font... too many fonts can fuck up your system

- Goto C:/WINDOWS/Fonts
- Right click and Select View > Details
- Click on the "Modified Tab"
- Remove the latest ones!

Restart Photoshop - Should work!
