Amazon.com: The Domain Game: David Kesmodel: Books
When it comes to making money online, there's search engines at the top, affiliates scraping for pennies at the bottom, and somewhere in between are the domainers. (this paragraph was a sweeping generalization) I just finished this book up last night... it really is an inspirational book because it's actually the first (that I know of) of its kind thats actually relevant to our industry. This isn't a get rich quick book... It's more of a history lesson. I highly recommend it because it opens your eyes to how the whole domain industry started, and gives you a little insight into the "out of the box" thinking that people did to get great domains and build their portfolios. Here's the one thing you should take away from this book. It's not easy. It's not easy now, and it wasn't easy then. People think these domainers spent a few hours and became multi millionaires instantly. Truth is, it wasn't until about only 3-4 years ago that domains became a blip on the radar, while people have been registering and buying these risky propositions for well over 15 years. There was a long period of time when no one knew what they would be worth. And your biggest domainers of today were people who spent hours upon hours building their portfolios. We're talking 20 hr days 7 days a week. The reason they're so rich now is because they put in the work. Hard hours, lack of sunshine and sleep, pure addiction. So put that in your pipe and smoke it you lazy fucks. |
