Black Friday Niche Site Idea - WickedFire - Affiliate Marketing Forum

I figured that black friday is quickly approaching, and these sites are a big hit allover the internet when people try to find the deals. I was thinking of making something similar, except not directly posting the deals on the site, but instead having ads everywhere, and links to where you can find the deals. Go ahead and use my idea, I'm too busy to start it anyway -- but what do you guys think could be the possible outcome of the site?

I think it could be profitable, but I'd guess that there are already thousands of sites out there just like your idea.

I'm pretty new to this, so I have no idea, but just guessing.

Haha... nobody dresses in black. It refers to the day US businesses typically "turn a profit". If you are operating at a loss you are said to be "in the red". Like in microsoft excel, financial statements display negative numbers in red. The huge volume and profit made on the day after Thanksgiving, the largest shopping day of the year, helps them move from the red to the black...

and so Black Friday was born

How are you going to promote it? Probably a lot of work to get decent serp rankings on a new site in the next 30 days to make it work.

Don't confuse it with Black Monday though:

Ha Elixir..

Many "Black Days" involve a stock market correction/crash.

The big shopping day, after Thanksgiving, should be called Green Friday in my opinion, a lot more apropos.
