People just like to post meaningless BS that has nothing to do with making money or just pointless, stupid things that we either know already or pretty much can figure out not that hard?

Alright everyone. I think it's true productive threads have been getting a bit less common. Any chance of getting a surge from you guys? Any not easily saturated technique, hard learned lesson, even basic things like picking an offer, or perhaps running offers in areas that typically have high bids (like credit reports and whatnot)

I know enough of you to know you've got some tricks up your sleeves you either don't use anymore, or don't have time to implement on your own.

Since SS is taking this thread seriously, I'll throw in my 2 cents. Sure, it's great when one of the highrollers throw a bone to the n00bs about a fantastic strategy or method they use or once used. But those are rare jewels and that's ok (hence, rare jewels). Personally, I'm here for the little tasty bits of info I learn everyday from random posts. That, and of course the boob threads.

That's going to happen though. When you have a lot of quality content in the AM, traffic, content, email, etc., boards people are going to spend a lot of time learning and reading. Many of the topics are already covered and noobs get raped when they ask a question that's already been asked/discussed. Not that there's a lot of 'breaking news' strategies in the industry so to speak, but for what's out there is quality, and I can see where the quantity of posts would decrease over time.

Yeah activity seems to be slipping, and I haven't seen anything really crazy cool in a while. But most of the real money makers are in Affiliate Marketing section (as they should be).

Bottom line is I'm not too worried about "stupid" threads around here. Especially considering that the people who start most of them immediately get their spinal cord ripped out through their stomach by the first five replies.

This is my favorite AM site, and oftentimes enjoy the stupid threads and watching people get skinned.

I never worry about losing my marketing edge because this place is on top of everything. I only wish the for-pay area wasn't so expensive.

i dont know about the other ppl here but there is so much stuff to read that has already been posted...you really dont need to post anything worthwhile until you have read all the threads because odds are, somebody else already posted it. I come here to read, learn about some shit, laugh, watch people get killed...and break up the routine. sitting at a computer all day everyday gets a bit lame...so i come here to SS to laugh and read stuff....more often than anywhere else because depending on the person who posted it, they dont post bullshit or hype so i can come and read the lastest buzz and not wonder the whole time what the story next week will be. just because we dont talk about AM all the time doesnt mean the forum is going downhill...

Yeah, I agree with that - I think people put words in my mouth when I said there were crappy threads. I am strictly talking about the quality of posts in terms of strategy, advancing money making in the community, and talking about the latest affiliate marketing schemes/ploys/etc. I used to see quality threads every day and always have stuff to read through here, and my point is that it is generally declining towards the point where people are making a thread about the most useless things that could either be figured out by a simple Google search (and hell, has already been answered in this very forum) or by common sense.

If you rely on RSS you may think there's nothing going on. I almost deleted the whole WF feed earlier in summer because STS and BST were the only thing I saw in Feedreader3.0. Evidently, I bookmarked my first encounter from STS. I then looked at the Forum front page and found that all the other sections were just as active, only I never see them in the feeds.

I now have to manually go there to see any good stuff.

Anybody know how to get Feedreader to pick up all the new threads?

our generation is instant gratification....people would rather have the answer to a stupid question handed to them then to god forbid actually read the material that would answer it for them. people dont work and do their own stuff anymore, they want somebody that will hold their hand and walk them through it....WF gets so many stupid newbs. its not the seasoned members that are putting crappy threads up (usually) its the newbs. now being a newb myself...i am still working through the older threads and so i dont post often since i know anything i could contribute has already been posted. other newbs should do the same...its simple...read the rules before you post at WF. Then we won't tear you a new one

I wouldn't necessarily say that is a bad thing though. A large part of WF is being able to hang out without worrying about saying things considered inappropriate enough to get you banned on other forums.
