Yep..Obama has made too many mistakes to win in this election. That and average Americans will not vote far left.

Hell, look at his running mate. LOL Joe Biden..what a fool. He told a crowd the other day that Hilary would have made a better Vice than he and that she was more qualified. WTF was Obama thinking by picking that tool.

I am glad he did though. I really didn't want to have to move out of the country after the elections.

Seriously, where do you get your information from? Even the far left/right news sources say this is a very close race, and yet you act like this is going to be a shut out.

First of all, I gotta tell you, that signature, goal $50, actual $0 made me bust out laughing.

Here's my take on the deal, fwiw. Sarah Palin is pretty, a nice neat package presented to the left, w/the scandalous daughter to prove that the Palin family is just another normal, dysfunction bunch.

But I get the feeling that Sarah Palin is a right wing nut, what with the "Iraq is God's war." I think the conversative right is being sneaky as hell and that if McCain wins we are in for a shitload of trouble.

At least Obama is real. I feel as if he's not pulling any punches. I think he honestly cares about this country, not just his or his parties' agenda.

Sources? What sources you trust? Huffingtonpost.com or maybe moveon.org? I don't trust any of the media. It's obvious that Obama's camp is worried and working thier ass off to correct the huge bump in numbers Palin gave Mccain.

Obama has too many shady and dangerous associations to be considered by the "fly over" states. The East and West coast are not gona be able to win this for him. Sure 18 yr olds are overwhelmingly supporters of Obama but are they really gona show up to the polls. If theres a party to go to or a new episode of Family Guy on are they gona miss it to go and vote? The kids have always supported the Democratic party but have never turned out in huge numbers in the past to vote.

It's just not Obama's time. He is too inexperienced, too liberal and has too many fucked up associates. Give him some time to re-evaluate his friends and far left ideas, get some experience in government and he might make a good candidate but not the now.

WOW!

Selective blindness is for real.

Even in Texas. Who'da thunk?

Calm down. Wanting to believe in something good happening and not being cynical is not called selective blindness. It's called hope.

Well then, I have a new sense of respect for all those Madison Avenue marketing experts running the Obama campaign.

O'bama doesn't represent change or hope. O'bama is the same ole, same ole democratic politician. His "Chicago Style" politics are the same shit that has brought many of the democratic cities around the country, to their knees.

Sarah Palin put Alaska's State budget online for the world to see - I like that.

A little off topic.... that SNL skit was really funny last night.

You know, you guys can argue all you want but the fact is, both parties can run the US well - but only when the partly leader a.k.a. president has some sense in his head.

I know I must seem like an alien to think that someone who runs his campaign on lies about the other party to get ahead is not fit to be president...

I really don't care what party a candidate is from, what I do care about is the bigger picture he or she brings with him - not just the picture of dollar signs and moose heads on the wall, but the "health" of our civilization as a whole.

Do you want to put a liar in charge of a big chunk of that?

P.S. I don't need MSNBC to tell me that McCain is a lying, manipulative p.o.s., I'm just glad that they at least have the balls to broadcast those facts without minimizing them as distortions or whatever.

Tonight's Palin report: I stopped the Bridge to Nowhere, blah-blah-blah.

She keeps rehashing the same story, even though it's gotten public that she was for it before she was against it. I think they have to start putting some _policy_ on the stump because it's all getting very shopworn.

Doesn't the gov. have anything else to talk about? It's like McCain with his POW stories. Thanks for the service, but what else you got?

I think both parties need to stop bashing each other and get to the policies. I really couldn't care less about Palin's history or the latest Obama speech, I just want to hear how they all plan on accomplish anything that would benefit this country if elected.

The election is very simple:

If you like the way things are going in this country right now, vote for McCain.

If you think the country is headed in all the wrong directions, vote for Obama.

All the other shit is marketing, spin, etc. and irrelevant. All you have to do is ask your self if you like the job that Bush has done. The whole election is really only about that. If you think it's about anything else, you're watching too much TV.

But there's the wonderful Sarah. She's the hockey mom candidate. She fought the bridge to nowhere, she's a maverick, a mom, a beauty queen.

Damn, I wished it was that simple. So O'bama has the cure to ALL the nations ills?

Quit slobbering on O'bama's shoes. Take a look up and really looked at the voting records of both. Mccain is bi-partison and has voted more in the center than almost all Republicans, while O'bama has never voted anything but far left. O'bama's partison politics doesn't sound like change to me.

That's sorta silly - just because Obama says he is for change - doesn't mean he is going to enact it. Hell he might want to - but WAY to many of us don't want the future he is pushing. I don't want a hand out - and I don't want my kids to be working 3 hours to buy a loaf of bread (inflation). I may not like McCain - but the thought of raising our taxes enough to cover both the deficit and Obama's "change" is staggering.

Hell - give me some republicans who do what they say (cut spending, cut taxes, etc..) and I'm quite sure we would all be better off in 10 years than we are now.

If you think your tax money is going to anything other than paying interest towards the deficit - raising them just allows the government to go further into debt.

Dammit - I sound like Ron Paul again --

QFT ... that's some fucking logic right there. The problem is that ANY change will take years to accomplish, dems are too short sighted for that so they'd rather just yell out "more of the same" and ask for a re-deal which will further cripple us

From everything you type it doesn't sound like you have either an unbiased opinion about political parties or an logical point of view. One of the few things we can learn from your country is how to keep levees from breaking

What i was getting at is the character of the candidate. I lean more towards the democratic party because their ideas are more in tune with mine. But if McCain would have democrat ideas and would be running his campaign like a lying pinokio on that side of the fence as well I would seriously consider switching parties.

Tell me he isn't lying... Can you? Do you mind?

All politicians from both parties lie, double talk & spew rhetoric. Some are better than others, Bill Clinton (coincidentally a democrat) was the best at doing this. You will not find an honest one in the race now that RP (coincidentally a republican) has dropped out. What is a pinokio? Is that what you call politicians over there. And about character, Obama has ties to racist preachers & known terrorists ... and he's a fucking lawyer!!! If character is what you are after, perhaps you are supporting the wrong person. Again, you have your opinions and they are closely tied to the way the democrats try to do things. Be proud of that and state it up front, don't walk around like you are fairly evaluating each person and giving an unbiased opinion. It makes you no better than a politician. I am up front and honest about my views on things. People don't have to like me but they do have to deal with my opinions because they are truthful and based on facts. Deal with the tangible issues and stop worrying too much about character, there's not a good apple in the bunch.

Yeah I am tied to the democrats, but that would change if the democratic candidate would be a compulsive liar. I'm not saying democrats don't lie, but McCain is cheating his way to presidency, spreading lies and manipulating the public into thinking bad about Obama so they vote for him instead. I think we all can agree McCain has taken the concept of lying to new heights in politics.

P.S. when I was saying both parties can run the US well, I was thinking about Ron Paul, I don't know a lot about the guy but most guys here seem to agree that he has some sense in his head. I wouldn't mind voting for a guy like that if the democratic alternative would be as disrespectful to the truth as McCain is. The bottom line being, with a good party leader I think both republican and democratic ideas of running the US can work well.

See Bill Clinton

Here's the big problem we are having here

They are all compulsie liars, why can't you comprehend that? If we can get you past the obvious it will come down to their positions on the issues ... Republicans are called the right for a reason.

Also, I'm not "tied" to any party. It comes down to common sense & the issues for me. I would have probably voted Dennis Kucinich [dem] over anyone the republicans would have put up this side of Ron Paul.

Both parties can't run the country well, one can do it marginally better. There is nothing conservative about Obama. McCain is at least moderate which makes him & his party a better fit to run America

Here's another problem. If you've not researched one of the most honest and incorruptible politicians of our times you should not be allowed to say 1 bloody word about American politics!!!

The other problem is I will vote ... and you can't

Yeah pretty much. This is a pretty tight fucking race. It just looks like the polls have returned to what they were before the GOP VP pick.
