Help I need you this week!

OK, I need WF every week, but this week (10-23-06 to 10-29-06) is different. I need inspiration, encouragement, and things that make me smile and laugh. With my limited time on line, I will be coming here, to this thread, during this next week, hoping to find all of the above. I trust I'll find the help I need to survive till Sunday night.

I, who already work way too many hours at my wage earning jobs (66 hours total with both jobs), just committed to more (20-24.5 hours) for one week at my second job.

How can I do this? One job is 2 overnights and I can dose off. Bob Schmuck and his wife (thank you to you both!) will be taking my daughters part of the week.

Why am I doing this? AZ is cracking down on unpaid traffic fines. I can't register my car till the fines are paid. One fine is 7 or 8 years old from when I was married. My husband at the time didn't register his car and didn't tell me. I was driving our "community property" and I got the ticket. He never took care of it and can only come up w/half of it now. I have a two year old fine I put off paying. I have low wages because of lack of education and as a single mom, most of the time often made job choices around what was best for the kids. NO regrets on the last one, but I work harder for less money today because of those choices (till I start getting some internet income coming in ).

I can earn the money, but it'll be a little easier if I wasn't alone and had your moral support! I appreciate any and all contributions on the latter. Just to be clear...contributions on the latter-moral support...I am NOT asking for financial contributions. I'll have that covered by the end of the week. Just please encourage me for a week!

Much thanks,
Jan

You have the credible blog thing down. Keep rolling with that. This might be a good time to launch some whorish blogs chock full of "creatively placed" google ads and affiliate marketing offers.

You guys are amazing! Thank you so much! One day and 13 hours down!

Good news, increased efficiency-a few less hours because my manager let me juggle some some stuff at my full time job so I still get paid the same, but am available to work and get the OT pay at the second job!

Tyler-That would be a great book
Kyleirwin-You are SO right
$5submissions-thank you, it's nice to know I'm not alone
Sebastya-been making lots of progress
Kr338r-I printed that out, I recently was trying to figure out if I could quite the second job in Dec (came up with a negatory)
Andrew-I'll have to settle for Full Throttle (energy drink), & Focus Factor & emergen-C (supplements) unless someone shares
Uzzz-that will also help avoid dozing off at inappropriate times
engaged-The valuable lessons are endless
brianpaxton-I DO hope this week goes quick. PS-Bob Schmuck, WF member, my son, the reason I am at WF, and who is responsible for me wanting to be an internet entrepreneur when I grow up.
Katoved-You're right. I have 2 promising projects in the works, I need to focus
gusmy-True, I made my first website, I guess its time to stop being shy and just get it out there to at least try to make some money
ConceptualMind-As I repeat this to my self several times a day, I will know you are saying it with me
Jon-You offering? I read that and I just started laughing....I pictured "Jack" from fast food fame-Jack'n the Box, with your avatar face, here taking care of my daughters!!! Writing about it, got me laughing again!

OK, social time is over. Time for a visit with my best friend Jack (Daniels) and off to sleep. Thank you again everyone.

No kat you have it all wrong..

Jack Daniels is the local bum who most of society beats up on whenever they're wound to tight...

Here's a picture I found of him:

So i believe that projectdwhl was simply telling her if she gets to worked up, feel free to take out some of that anger on others

Jan,
This is my first WF post so let’s consider this “you motivating me.” See your giving back to the community already.

Two quick thoughts.

1. Set realistic short-term goals. Weekly – Monthly. In the early part of your efforts not meeting those goals is not to be considered failure. Adjust for the next term factoring in the reasons for not reaching that/those goals.

2. Accomplish one thing every day. It is that simple. As you get more proficient, you can add to it and it can be easily scaled.
Example:
Day 1 may be: Research new topic, lay out a plan & 1 Blog post.
Day 20 could be: Research 5 new topics, develop plan, register domains, set-up hosting, generate content & 5 blog posts.

Thanks for prompting this consummate lurker into posting.

When you put yourself on the line, and work your ass off, good things happen. It's tough... and it's a grind... but it's funny how hard work, educating yourself and constantly applying yourself seem to make "lucky things" happen. You're creating opportunities and it won't be long until you start walking through these doors you're building.

That's a little motivation.... now... here is my attempt to make you smile. It's a poem I made up just now:

It sucks when we must go to work
And work the night away
There are things we'd rather do
like make sites M-F-A
Then we sign on WickedFire
And call worseless people gay
Drink some Jack and go to sleep
And do the same the next day

When you're most frustrated
you can vent with people here
Call DruSam the whitest black guy
Call BlueBobbo queer
Trust that it will all work out
Keep working... never "quit it"
If all else fails, invite me over
Cause you know that

I wasn't sure about starting this thread, but I am so very glad I did. This actually helps to come here at the end of the day.
Ok, day two is done. 9 more hours down. I even snuck in a little relaxing and went out for a beer with a lady from work for about an hour.

Internet work-the past two days I also wrote 3 pages for websites Bob and I are working on, categorized some posts for my newly moved blog, and have a plan for a blog that's actually has a niche.

Bryan Le it really does make a difference knowing there's a place to go for help
projectdwhl I'm doing my best to grind as fast as I can, but getting too old to hit Jack too often
Katloved you are a wise man, I could go longer without beer and Jack than I could go without caffine.
dastuff damn it you found my boyfriend, I try to keep my men confidential. Alcohol is good because it fast forwards me to relaxing
webthisway Thank you and welcome. Really great suggestions. Hope to see more posts from you on WF.
wickedest After I reapeat "I can do it" several times a day, I will follow it with, "this too shall pass"
Deliguy Wow, my own cheerleader......life IS good
trigatch4 Damn...you know the perfect encouraging words, write poems, AND you put the biggest grin on my face........God I wish you were here
Uzzz props can be good

Night all and thank you!

Wow.

Mom, you work way too much I can't wait until our projects begin producing income even if it is only a little. It's still a start...

I feel like I live so far away but I'm only 1 hour 30 minutes away.

Anyways... We will be successful because we are using each other's talents (your writing skills and my site developing skills) to develop these projects.

Also, we're doing what Jon recommends... only begin a partnership to cover a weakness.

Day three and 6 hours down. It was an easy day and I did Halloween stuff with the girls, Bob's wife, and our old neighbor (she's like one of my kids) and her husband. Had dinner for everyone and had the night off. This morning I did some research and a couple blog posts before work.

Tomorrow will be a little rough 4.5 hours at the second job and a 19 hour shift (I get to doze off some during the night) at my full time job.

bobschmuck You are right I do. Reminding myself I've got a plan to be free from excessive wage earning helps. Thank you for your part in it. Your wife and sisters should be there by now, thank you both for helping with the girls.

I almost sat down at the computer and started writing, but I decided against working on internet projects and just continue relaxing tonight. Sometimes I do know when to say when.

I have to admit, this week was rough on me. I had a few moments at the call center, I questioned if I could make it to my next break and get more caffine down my throat! One more 8 hour shift tomorrow to go and its over!! YeeeeeeeeeHaaa!

I have committed time and energy to wage earning, so last night, when I had a very rare Friday night off, I stayed home (I was too burnt out to go out anyways) and committed my time to internet projects, since this week was about making money. Didn't get as much done as I wanted, but got more done than if I didn't try. Learned more valuable lessons.

Bob still has his sisters so next week I'll work some extra hours because I have the opportunity to get some OT at my full time job, so i'm going to work because it's easier and more relaxed than the hours at the call center! When my manager at the group home told me we were approved for OT, it made my day. Over there I have "down time" and I watch movies with residents and can research and write for my internet ventures while I get paid.....life is good!

think of the end result when you are doing the hours, paying your bills and getting them off your back etc..

Suggestion: why don't you sell your blog for the extra money, you can always start another one, or do some writings services, pm me if you are interested in doing some articles for me.

7 days...52 hours at the call center.....19 hours at the group home.....7 vacation hours......some internet work accomplished...this week....IT IS OVER!

Picture me-happy dancing and cheering!

Thank you everyone for making a rough week go down a little easier, I do love you guys here at WF.

I have extra hours next week, but its at the group home and its easy (yard work and cooking-which I enjoy. Down time watching movies, reading, and writing. A few hours of real "work"). Here's a description of the difference of both jobs. (please ignore the contruction status on this blog...thank you).

emp That was perfect for me today, it helped me remember I am getting closer to the goal (replay me doing happy dance), its easy to be distracted by the process sometimes.
L16745 Wow....I have Winston's quote up at my second jog, I didn't know it was his quote, I heard it first in a country song that's plays a lot now. (PM's are started! )
oogie1947 Thank you for coming our of the lurkers' shadows to post, compliment , and to let me know that what I'm doing is helping others.

Tonight as I drove home I was thinking I how fortunate I am to have the opportunity and the health to work like I do (and said a prayer for those who can't work) and I felt blessed and I really saw what a good life I have. It even rained tonight (I love the rain...don't see much of it most of the year)!
