I'm always automatically logged into my facebook account I use for advertising, and never turn off the computer.

It restarted itself the other day and logged me out, and now I can't for the life of me remember what email address I used to join.

I know I've tried all my regular emails, and I think I might have used a random hotmail one.

Am I screwed?

Am I screwed?

I am so tempted to take advantage of this situation in a matter that only ChrisS would truly understand.

But I won't... (I already did in my head)

I think you're pretty fucked......... *stops laughing*... Ok, but really... If you don't have the email addy you used to sign up, you can't ask for a new password or anything... Time to grab a copy of RoboForm, it can save you from this kind of stuff...

Aside from that, I don't think youll have much luck

I really don't know if your screwed or not. Here's a suggestion, send an email to facebook support and explain to them that you forgot your email. They may be able to reset your email address by you providing them with the credit card number that you use for your account.

I don't know if that will work but it is worth a shot.

If you are using firefox, check your stored passwords (Tools|Options|Security), it could be in there if you had it set up to save that information.

Thanks, I use IE for my advertising accounts though, so I can save all of my personal accounts using FF.

If you're using Firefox (might work for IE etc too, I just haven't checked): If you go to Facebook's login form, empty e-mail box, but keep the blinking | symbol dere. Then press down key one or two times, a list should pop up if your form data has been stored. If you don't get a list, sometimes you must write a letter, 'h', for instance, then erase the 'h' again, and press the down key one or two times.

Nah, didn't work, but thanks.
Maybe if you're lucky, a cookie, which doesn't work anymore, has been left behind.:p

If on Vista, you'll find them here:
Code:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
Then just search for Facebook in the search box. The cookie will be named "cookie:SOMETHING@facebook". If you find one, open it in Notepad. Click at the beginning of the line. Then search the document for "email" (exactely written as this). And a few chars after that, your email will be.

I don't think you will have any luck from the support page.

Please email your inquiry to info@facebook.com. If possible, please contact us from the address that serves as your Facebook login.

For your security, we cannot take action on your account unless you write to us from your login address.

Thanks for that, this is what I got from it:

Tried searching "email", didn't get anything. So close, and yet so far!

ask a friend on FB to check which email you have in your profile... depending on your settings should display somewhere in the profile

Found this, but totally unsure as to whether they'll actually talk to you about account issues over the phone.

Hello

A google search for facebook gives this as the addressa and phonebook:

156 University Ave
Palo Alto, CA 94301
(650) 853-1300

Call this number and ask for customer service.

Why don't you search for your name on that Facebook account?

Though it won't work if you made your profile private and hid the email address

if you have email addresses using your various domains, login to your server(s) and check for the emails there.

Maybe they aren't forwarding anymore.

I know this doesn't help you much now but in the future, try using KeePass to save all of your different accounts. It works much like Roboform in that it's a password safe. If you use FF, then use the built-in password safe.

I live by FF & KeePass.

She may not have put an email address in her profile to begin with ( I don't have mine out there, helz no with all you spammers out there)

Yep just call customer service, you have the credit card that you were using so it should not be a problem to restore access to the account
