The first person who actually has a website that needs a new logo or a logo re-design gets a logo, and it will be completed tonight within the next few hours.

Winning is simple, the first person who responds to this post with an obviously legitimate logo design request, is the winner.

Why am I doing this? I'm starting a video based web blog about design/webmaster stuff/usability and for the first episode I'm covering logo design and how a logo designer designs a logo on the spot, uncut, and not pre-designed - that way the thought process and all of that good stuff will be documented. I will post the link to the blog / video after I'm done and it's up.

I can give more details, but I wanted to get in first so I typed fast. There's a team of Indians doing the site now, but I don't like the logo they're giving me and I'm having no luck getting a nice one out of them. I would be very interested in seeing if you can do something better.

The link I gave you doesn't link to the version they're working on which is Drupal.

Getting a cool logo would be a far nicer gift than the coal I got in my stocking for Christmas. And the poor looking logo has been a source anxiety for me.

Who's the fuckface? I don't know Gary, except that he made an offer then refused to fulfill based on some vague requirements that only he understands.

I get it that it was meant to be a Christmas promotional, but it doesn't seem to be working out spreading the holiday cheer. And a happy holiday to you.

The site currently forwards to another, but it still gets hits to the site I forward it to. URL is: Street Beatz at SpitYoGame.com is Spiffed Up |

I would like the url in the logo. I would like it below the actual logo, not on top or in the middle of it.

If you can make it look right, I would like: "Drop That Beat"

I really like red. Maybe like red in the words and maybe a black outline around the words/name of the logo.

I took a look at your website, garysimon.net and I took a look at the BEASTS logo. Thats the style I would like. Energy in the words like the one in that logo.

K, finished / recorded. I'll update this in a few hours. If I decide not to post the video, I definitely will post the design, it didn't turn out too bad for only taking 30 minutes.

Going to take awhile longer to get the video edited but here's the logo.. I literally designed this within 30 minutes and on the spot without contemplating / drafting first as I normally do. I didn't want to directly depict either the drum machine or keyboard, but just a recognizable element of the keyboard.

It's tough to design so quickly lol.

if it was a site selling loop beats it would be ace, but it might be a bit high class for the crunk crowd. it's a nice logo nonetheless. constructive criticism would include the fact that it might prove difficult to distinguish if it's streetbeatz.com or beatz.com or dropthatbeat.com

Stop being a sour bitch. If you couldn't understand his requirements that's your problem, seemed pretty clear to me and I don't think you gave him enough information AT ALL. Your site was just a default skinned pligg site, you can't just request a design for that shit.

dreamache, first off thank you for the design. I personally think it looks good for only putting in 30 minutes into it. I like how you were given some details about the logo and you could make it and make it look nice within the hour. I should have been more clear when I typed the url. I forgot when you type url's, it takes the title of the page. The site is actually street-beatz DOT net. My fault.

I would agree. But I do like the keys part. But I do like the design and it looks great. I'm sure if I was a real customer, paying, he would tweak the things that I wanted tweaked.

decent logo for being done in 1/2 an hour (and for free) but the placement of the words and the .com is VERY confusing. I can't tell if it's supposed to be DROPTHATBEAT.com or BEATZ.com but I would never guess that it was StreetBeatz.com with a tagline underneath it.

you just can't break the domain in half with a graphic like that, by doing so you've separated the words into two blocks. Street Drop that Beat and on the other side Beatz.com.

As far as logos go if I were the client, I would send this back to the designer and ask for some tweaks to be made to help differentiate streetbeatz.com and drop that beat before even considering using it.
