Need to setup a tech support forum, anyone want to comment why they like either of the forums above, or what they would recommend instead.

Forum open to public to view, reg required to post, aside from that, no real obscure requirements.

not sure if this is still the case ...but i prefer Vbul...just cause phpBB tends to get hacked a lot.

if you don't mind paying for the vBulletin license, then there's no reason to choose phpBB.

Vbulletin....PHPBB has had a remote exploit is almost every version.

I've always gone with Invision Power Board, probably just because I am more familiar with it. AFAIK, IPB and VBulletin are the only real choices unless you really want to save the cash in which case phpBB, punBB, or Vanilla.
