Wfexclusive Tips for Vegas

Since a lot of you are going to Vegas tomorrow, I decided to give you a few tips that I learned when I went there.

A lot of these tips are from a good friend, Ian, who used to live in Las Vegas.

First, if you're going to play slots, never sit on the end seats or in high traffic areas. From what I understand, the slot machines as a whole (meaning all of them in the casino) have to payout X percentage. Therefore the ones on the ends, near the main paths, and near bathrooms are statistically programmed to payout less.

Makes sense but obviously, all you can do is try.

So it's a bit like anti-marketing. Pick the machines that are marketed the worst and that do not draw a lot of attention.

Next, Play black jack. It's super fun.

Here is some basic strategy.

A quick story Keliix reminded me of...

He (Keliix06) and I were playing black jack in Vegas after a meeting. I bet something like $50 dollars (after being up around $200). I show a 15 and the dealer shows a facecard.

I decided just to try something crazy and double down. The dealer asks me if I am sure and gets the pit boss over. Hahaha.

I end up hitting 21. The dealer flips the card over and it was 20. That was pure awesome.

I know there probably is no theory to it, but I always seemed to win on blackjack tables that were far off and in the lower traffic areas. The ones that were on the main paths, I always would lose on.

Anywho... have fun.

Dude I've been there. That was a shitttttty way to make some money (but easy if you could keep your head)

Also, I think the machines around higher traffic areas are suppose to pay more no? They want you to see people winning and then go gamble yourself....

Haha yes! I remember spending hours searching for those $25 free chip codes.
And then I started banking off casino affiliate programs- good times.

I once read (when I didn't have AC in the summer, I'd hang out at Barnes & Noble) that the slots near the tables are also set on rape-mode, since the noise of the machines may agitate the card players (who are more VIP rape targets).

Supposedly, the best slots are right in the thick of things in the dense slot areas.

But playing slots is kinda weak anyway. I prefer the chaos of roulette.

Indeed.

"FINDING LOOSE SLOTS

Because loose slots attract more slots action, the casino spends a lot of effort placing these machines in areas where they will be seen the most. If you understand what strategies they use, you can use them to your advantage.

-Near the change booths - casinos want other players who are waiting in line to get change to hear the sounds and sights of slots players winning money. This will motivate other players to get more change and play more.

-On elevated carousels - the reason why these slots are usually loose is a simple one - because the machines are visible from nearly any angle on the gaming floor.

-Near the coffee shop/cafe/snack bar - casinos often place their best machines in these locations to motivate players to eat quickly and get back to the gaming floor as soon as possible. When a player takes a time out for drinks or food it's time spent not playing. No play means no revenue for the casino.

-Slot aisles known as "crosswalks" - crosswalks are areas that players must walk through to get to other slot aisles. The casinos want slot players to witness frequent jackpot payouts. People passing by using these pathways are more likely to be drawn into the main slot aisles, where the medium and tight machines are waiting to fleece them.

-The older places near the north end of the Strip may set their machines looser to try and draw players away from the newer, fancier resorts.

AVOIDING TIGHT SLOTS

Similar to the loose slots placement strategy, there is also one for tight slots. These, on the other hand, are always located in secluded areas where there aren't many people passing by and few other slot players. One thing to remember is that every casino is different and that each moves their slot machines around to challenge those who seek the loose ones.

-Near casino entrances - In the past, casinos placed some of their highest-paying slots here in an attempt to lure players in off the street and into the main casino, where the tighter slots were located. This plan backfired as customers who began playing at the entrances stayed at the entrances. They never ventured any further into the casino becuase they were doing just fine where they were. The casinos have now moved medium and tight machines into the entrance areas.

-Around or near the sportsbook/racing areas - Casinos do not want their sportsbook customers to be distracted by the noise from the slot machines. Sportsbook players spend tons of money betting on sports but are less likely to play slot machines themselves - so putting a high-payout machine there would be waste, and may even cause the sportsbook players to leave the area.

-Near the ticket/show lines - People waiting in line to see a show or to buy tickets to a show are tied up and don't have time to gamble.

-Surrounding the gaming table areas - Slot machines that are near the gaming tables are almost always tight with a few medium-range machines thrown in for good measure. Table players aren't usually regular slot players."

Time of day and recent hits don't seem to matter, but location definitely does as machines can be (and are) programmed with different payout percentages depending on where they are. Type of machine also matters - $5+ slots tend to have higher payouts than 25 cent machines, for example.

All of that being said, it really all depends on the RNG and the exact moment that you choose to hit "spin" - you could play a penny machine in the worst possible location and still win big.

Good luck guys!

I'm not good at reading legalese but its all in here:

Gaming Statutes and Regulations

basically every slot machine is hard-wired to not only a casino server, but also a Nevada state govt server. a casino can't add special promos or bonuses to a particular machine without it being clearly marked and without the govt knowing about it.

people don't play slots. slots play people.

I won't bother reading. I'll just take your word for it. Just like I once took the word of that book...sigh.

However, I did win $320 on a slot at Planet Hollywood this past May. So I'm going to avoid gambling there altogether, just so I have the peace of mind of knowing that I beat that particular casino. I will instead lose all of my money at a different casino that will probably be owned by the same bastards.

Dont forget if you put a $20 in between your CC and your id when checking in you can get a huge upgrade on your room for free($20 bucks) Just ask for a "complementary upgrade" . I have done this many times before and have had some upgrades from the base model room into a 2 bedroom suite. It works 90% of the time and if they cant do anything for you they will just hand you your $20 back, it never hurts to ask.

True story, I once went to a casino (Tunica, not Vegas) and lost $150 fast ... went to the atm to withdraw $100 and got 5 hundreds instead of 5 twenties.

Needless to say, I played the ATM slot machine several times that night. We walked away with $1500 cash (80% profit). A few weeks later ...

bank (on phone) >> uhmmm, there's been a mistake and your account is being credited $1200 for money you took out @ xxxxx's casino

erect >> bullshit, I didn't notice any extra cash flow when I got home

bank >> we got a call from xxxxxx's and they have record of it & video

erect >> are you my bank or theirs?

bank >> your's

erect >> why are we having this conversation? don't take anything out of my account or you'll lose my business forever and if they have a problem with their accounting have them get with me directly. You do not represent them ... grow a spine.

I never got a call from the casino and never paid the money back. I remember having an elaborate story ready for the papers about how it was a scam they set up to make people think they had free money so they'd go spend it all, then charge them for it later.

By far the best I've ever done at a casino

bank (on phone) >> uhmmm, there's been a mistake and your account is being credited $1200 for money you took out @ xxxxx's casino

erect >> bullshit, I didn't notice any extra cash flow when I got home

bank >> we got a call from xxxxxx's and they have record of it & video

erect >> are you my bank or theirs?

bank >> your's

erect >> why are we having this conversation? don't take anything out of my account or you'll lose my business forever and if they have a problem with their accounting have them get with me directly. You do not represent them ... grow a spine.

I never got a call from the casino and never paid the money back. I remember having an elaborate story ready for the papers about how it was a scam they set up to make people think they had free money so they'd go spend it all, then charge them for it later.

By far the best I've ever done at a casino
Awesome, Allegedly.

Anyone that wants to hit some hold em tables in vegas send me a pm.

Used to be a professional poker dealer - until I realized girls don't really play poker and I would be perpetually stuck in a sea of old dudes.

Now I'm in internet marketing - thank god I got rid of that perpetual sea of dudes!
