i once new someone who made some ok money creating games for zango but since the person has to acually DL the game it doesnt convert very well; they moved on to the videos and had much better success

i get what ur saying - and it makes sense though I don't know how expensive it would be to get the games made. there are freeware games out there you might be able to edit - though not w/o some programming skills...

One idea for ya,
There are several sites on the web that produce flash games that they encourage distributing(they include their website in the game). A good example would be kewlbox.com. Ask the owner if you can include it in an exe. If they say yes. Either get a flash to exe convertor(doesn't always work well) or put it in an html file and then make a simple browser exe in VB and have it pull the html file. Then create the installer that copies over the exe, html file, shortcut, and icon to their computer. Then they execute the exe and teh game is right there. Kind of like what wildtanget does with their games.

I have no respect what so ever for anyone that uses, affiliates with, promotes, or even mentions zango. zango are a bunch of fucking dirtbag thieves stealings money from affiliates rewriting affiliate codes and putting popups on peoples sites with their shitty scumware.

If I ever personally see anyone that works for zango face to face, I will spit on them.

heres more then enough proof:

zango steals money from webmasters. don't support zango and boycott anyone that does.

Is there any other Pay-per-install program you would recommend?

I would suggest that you don't use this method of making money. There are tons of ways to make money online why do you have to resort to being the internets version of a drug dealer.

I'm not going to get into morals and ethics because for the most part I have none, but the only two things I'm against doing to make money online is child pornography and zango.

Sure it's easy to make a quick buck with them but that quick dollar turns into thousands of dollars stolen from affiliates from future sales.

Not to mention that it is illegal and you open yourself up to a massive number of lawsuits.

Actually....

The only other way mentioned in the comments is this:

Ok, so here an another alternative to Zango…
say you make a screensaver for that fancy singer, just create a dull webpage about the guy, with some ads on it.
e.g. your page would be called
My Blue Hat | Jack Roger Shoes
WHat next? You create the screensaver installer with the screensaver maker software, called in this example : bonjovi-screensaver.exe
you rename this file into something like
bonjovi-screensaver.ex_
Then, you create a good old .bat file, containing the following lines:
rename bonjovi-screensaver.ex_ bonjovi-screensaver.exe
explorer “My Blue Hat | Jack Roger Shoes
bonjovi-screensaver.exe
And finally, you right-click on your .bat file and “create a shortcut”. Finally, you rename your shortcut “Setup.exe”
And you just need to zip the three files : your shortcut, the .bat and the screensaver.
You distribute it, just as Eli explained.
When somebody will get the screensaver, he will of course click on the “Setup.exe” link that will execute the .bat
the .bat will open a window to your internet page before launching the setup of the screensaver
Then, most people will close this internet page, but some will actually have a look at it and click on some of your ads, bringing you some money.
What will bring more cash ? the cents from Zango when the user accepts to install it, or some cents from adwords when someone clicks on your links? I couldn’t tell you, so it’s up to you to test it and discover!

Anyone else?

Funny you say this.. I had funded a small campaign with them, but refunded it after reading about the shit that they pull. I may be a shady no ethics bastard, but I don't support any type of spyware. Glad I cancelled the campaign anyhow, I heard they convert like shit as it is.

Brutally honest, but sincere. That's what makes me love WF.

Shame you weren't at AD:TECH NY.. they had a pretty big booth there. So did Claria. In fact, Claria was one of the bigger sponsors.

You underestimate the idiocy of the average internet user :)
