I'm just curious when it became okay to completely disgregard standard grammar and spelling practices. . .I can't tell you how many times per DAY I see "you're" utilized as "your" as in,
when your using Hydra, be aware that they might not pay you for fraud

It's not just a pet peeve, it makes people look uneducated, misinformed or downright sloppy. I know that most people don't care (allegedly) how they're perceived, but honestly. . .when you grow up and realize that your laziness was a factor in why you're not successful as a 40-year old, maybe little lessons like this will cause you to reflect and say,
hmmm - the continuity craze only lasted one year and while I did make a shitload of money in that one year, I wonder why I wasn't able to get a real job after the FCC cracked down on that entire paradigm of scammage.

Just wondering. . .

You've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense.

i used to think the same thing... until i realized it just doesn't fucking matter. years ago i even told a girl that she had to communicate with me in normal letter style when emailing me.

Dear radio,

Blah blah blah.

Sincerely,
girl

Fixed.

You're my new pet peeve.

I agree with the other posters for the most part. However, I have noticed that if you are selling upscale products, it CAN make a difference. These are the kind of people that will email you about a grammar error - and if one person does it, they probably represent 10 more...

I read a great article by a very experienced writer who said that after years of testing, the copy that seemed to work best was written at an 8th grade level (he used some kind of formal metric here - I believe it was from standardized tests or the department of education....)

On a different note - was this an earnest query or simply a play for some airtime?
