I just had to go back to XP last night. I'm so pissed.

Short story: Just moved into a new place and apparently both cable and dsl are not available, because the building is "too new". So I'm stuck using some shitty free wifi the condos offer, which means I have to use my netgear wifi adapter... which isn't compatible with windows7. If anyone knows how to get the netgear WN111v2 working with win7-64bit, let me know...

The Beta version didn't work on a VMWare virtual machine. Now downloading the RC version. Maybe they fixed the bugs or maybe I'm missing some drivers?

i use windows 7 as my desktop pc. i am very happy with it. speed of xp + features of vista = win7

i second that. w7 is pretty slick for a desktop. over here my desktop/development machine(s) roll on windows 7. production servers roll on a lot of things.... windows server 2008, freebsd, debian, and solaris, depending on which server doing what exactly.

i haven't taken a look at windows server 2008 r2 yet (server equiv of w7) but have heard good things as well.

I've been using it since January or so when the 7000 build came out, for my htpc. I upgraded to the 7100 (the RC) build last night, and am totally impressed with the improvements made between the 7000 and 7100 builds.

Using Media Center 7 to record 4 HD shows, at the same time is pretty damn slick. That said, I'll probably not upgrade any of my XP PCs when the RTM comes out, except for the HTPC.

Windows 7 rocks! I've installed on my HP Netbook NR1000 and it runs better than XP on this machine... very impressive!!

Yea weird as fuck, I installed it on my Macbook under Parallels desktop and it runs really well, minus all the Aero effect stuff. Definitely going to ditch my overpriced piece of Mac poop when I come to upgrade.
