It's with great pleasure that I can safely say we have surpassed EF in their post counts. May not seem like a big thing to the avg webmaster, but keep in mind that the incredible guru genius known as Lee Dodd purchased a dead forum and pretty much jumped from less posts and threads than WF to a shitload more overnight. I think the post count he added on was in the 30k-50k range. Same went for the number of threads and members. It was magic!

Anyhow, sure, I did run some postwhore contests that would be equal to about 15k posts, but those were made by real members here, not some dead usernames that no one would be using ever again. Nice trick Lee, almost fooled everyone.

So today we surpassed his ass in under 3 months time. We literally caught up in under three months!! Fuck yeah!

To honor this lovely occaision I figured I'd show everyone some posts and predictions made by some people about WF.

I've got tons more of them, but will wait until this place wins some type of award or gets to be a hell of a lot bigger and livelier one day down the road. Gotta love how people who think they know what they are talking about make these predictions without doing any real research. WF was never inactive since the first day of the launch in late June 2006. It has always had active members posting whatever they wanted, and giving out tips and all sorts of other information. Never charged anyone for it either.

I've asked people in so many different areas of the industry for feedback and have never had someone say we weren't onto something really great. In fact, I still get random emails and IM's of praise from some of the most random sources saying "I really like WF" or "someone told me about WF and I think you've done a great job".

Just wait until you assholes who have predicted WF's demise see what the resource area looks like, then I'd love to see your new predictions.

Thanks again to all the members here for making all of this possible. There's no way I can take credit for any of this without you guys, and also without my exceptional staff and partner.

WF is almost 6 months old, yeah, that young, and if the first 6 months were as kickass and fun as it's been, lord knows the next 6 months will rock even harder.

I liked EF when they first started out. They had a lot of potential, but now the activity is slowly winding down. They've become a weaker version of digital point basically. Plus, they're ranking system blows. I rather not give away my site info so I can get a new tag....

Most of the people that make statements like this are cowards, most are scared to be put into a situation where someone could out right attack them for posting something stupid, so they hide behind the walls of a well moderated and controlled forum.

Trust me youd never find these fags down at the corner bar and grill or anywhere else for that matter where there is not some sort of control that plays into their favor.

I preferred WF from the beginning. However, I did think EF had a lot of potential when it started, but it's kind of dying now. The quality of topics are low and it feels like I'm reading same stuff over and over. I think most people go there for the private section to buy/sell stuff.

EF was pretty decent in the beginning. The information was okay but nothing that could take the average webmaster to the next level. There were WAY too many newbs. In addition to the newbs asking stupid questions, there were newbs that tried to sound like they knew what the fuck they were talking about when replying to those newbs.

Also, off topic but I just heard someone say "WickedFire" for the first time. The COPEAC lady called to confirm my information and was like "And I see you heard from us through Wicked Fire."

I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about how big the site would grow in terms of popularity, but my quote you have there in my eyes is still dead on.

You still don't have any regular posters who are well respected mature individuals in the webmaster community. when all the other forums you are bashing do.

Why do you think that is? Well consider this..... having nearly 100k posts in a few months is awesome for ANY forum. But the fact that 60% of that 100k is in one forum called Shooting The Shit with a lot of NSFW...well that doesn't scream great webmaster community to me yanno? More like livinghardcore...

I'M NOT SAYING THERE AREN'T GREAT USEFUL POSTS HERE.... Hell it's why I keep coming back to check. It just seemed that you were trying to imply that the majority of your posts here are great and useful webmaster info so I wanted to clear that up for you.... Add on to that 60% another 20% of webmaster related threads that quickly deteriorate to flaming and name calling and you have a handful of great threads left over.

So again congrats on the milestones. No doubt. But around 80% of it isn't even webmaster related, so..... yeah.

Maybe that'll all change when you launch the paid sections in this great community that you said wasn't about the money.
