I'm calling bullshit here

The government actually has a MAJOR surplus here since tobacco is taxed to the hilt. A pack costs me $5 and ~$2.50 of that is for the actual product (depending on the state) ... everything else is state/federal tax money that gets lost in the budget.

I'm guessing he signed it because of this:

• All new tobacco products must be approved for sale by the FDA.
• Tobacco companies and importers must disclose to the FDA all ingredients of their products.

Just like the UIGEA was signed by bush (a republican), even though he didn't support it. He was signing a bill to make our ports secure, not ban online gambling processing; that was just something added to please certain lobbyists. Which has nothing to do with bipartisanship.

Fact is, both side, Rep and Dem have been eroding our fredom and creating an ever bigger government since Theodore Roosevelt.

The only president that stood for a real change was mysteriously shot by a lone gunman.

The only other presidential candidate that was willing to really change things was Ron Paul... and I'm sure if he won... there would probably be another lone gunman somewhere.

Republican VS Democrat? Those are just small differences that make you feel like you have a decision. I see it is working good, even among people in marketing who should be the first to see this bs.

Here's an education campaign I see happening in five years time:
"Hey kiddies, did you know that looking at a tobacco plant will turn you to stone and then make your pee-pee fall off and make grandma want to kiss you more?"

If they're worried about the pathetically miniscule trace amounts of toxins in the residue left in people's hair and clothes, they should take a really fucking good look at, oh, I don't know, ANY FUCKING CONSTRUCTION SITE! The amount of toxic particles emanating off any modern construction site that has welding or concreting is actually pretty scary.

Seriously, I try to be a considerate smoker. I keep my butts till I find a bin, I smoke down wind of people, My jackets get dry cleaned regularly, but this shit is getting ridiculous.

I'm just being a devil's advocate with all this stuff. I really don't care.

But I am feeling a bit devilish so I would like to continue....

So what, if anything should be regulated and or illegal? I ask this question because I would rather smoking be illegal than...pot, for example. (ignoring the irony that most people smoke to ingest the pot) So should any substance be regulated?

(Also, it seems an abnormally high percentage of you guys smoke, what's that about?)
