I seriously doubt Eli has a problem with strong women. Usually it's the insecure guys that do and he doesn't strike me as the insecure type.

It does sound as though you are trying to validate your own desires instead of really trying to find out what would please your friend. If you're just trying to get him to try something new that would be different, I get that. But mark it as a "let's try something new!" day, instead of disguising it under a misplaced veil of "I appreciate you so I'm going to get you something that I want" gift.

This is the second time in the same thread you have made a point that it would be "impossible" for him to leave. Both myself and the woman involved claimed the same in both of the last 2 relationships I was in, and they only lasted a few years.

Your confidence in his inability to leave you is creepy to say the least. Now I feel bad for being so harsh on ya about it. I mean its one thing for some naive teenage highschoolers in their first relationship to have that He said we'll be together forever when he knocked me up mentality but its just sad to hear a full grown woman to talk like that. It really makes me feel sorry for ya if it does end up happening so for the future's sake I should keep my mouth shut about it so it doesn't become one of those we told you so things.

So I'll drop it there, but a word of advice first and I mean this in the nicest possible way: NO guy is going to stay in a relationship where he's unhappy and feels out of control. It doesn't matter what promises or commitments he made to you.

Oh and nope I have no problem with strong women.
In fact I'm very picky. I only date girls who can keep up with me and my antics/energy/extremely short attention span and trust me that takes a very strong woman
