I just don't get it. how do you protest a comedian? and if you're gonna protest a comedian, why david letterman? in the spectrum of comedians in this country, letterman is on the pretty non-offensive end.

That depends on what you're trying to do with that crowd. I can think of a few folks over the last century who have used such a crowd very effectively.

The cuckoo alarm went off when she mentioned Alinsky and ACORN. I can't speak for the protest, but Letterman is not a comedian imo. Not a funny one anyway. I watch him with a blank stare. As far as talk show hosts go, Conan and Fergueson and Kimmel are night and day to Letterman.

As for real comedians, someone mentioned Hedberg. Sad that he's gone. He was always hilarious.

A couple of my favorite Hedberg lines - "I used to do drugs.... I still do, but I used to too."

"I think Pringles originally was a tennis ball company. But on the day the
