i wonder if it's just me or it's like normal but i find that when i m doing work, i can't help but use the firefox tab function to open "unrelated" webpages, for instance, news site and youtube. at times, i find myself switching between doing work and viewing that webpage. does it happen to u guys? how to overcome the distraction?

When I'm in a mode like I am right now and just fucking around, I have mostly messing around tabs open. When I want to work I open an entire new window so the other tabs don't distract me.

i try to use Pandora to listen to music but if i want to hear a specific song i play it on Youtube, then i usually get sucked into a youtube black hole for at least 30 min, its terrible

If you're doing AM full time then fucking off and doing that crap is the equivalent to taking a 30 min. nap at any other day job.

I can't talk because I'm a smoker and I find myself often taking smoke breaks, but I am always think AM during these breaks, and I often have some good ideas demanding immediate implementation by the time my cig is half done. If you're thinking AM, it's ok to not specifically be doing AM at that point in the day. Sometimes you need to take five and see the big picture and you can often find yourself starting to think outside the box.

However, fucking around on YouTube is just a plain distraction and should be avoided if you're trying to get any serious work done. Reward yourself with breaks after you've reached some hurdle or milestone throughout your day, just don't daydream and wander around or you won't accomplish anything.

Your competition is always thinking, if that doesnt scare the shit of you, I don't know what else will.

5824 - number of working hours assuming 8 hours of sleep a day (divide either number by your desired yearly income to see how much you should be gunning for in avg daily profits each day and still maintain a healthy life style....)

Hire a VA and assign work according to 80/20 rule - then you have time to read WF for fun and for info to plow back into the biz.....

I listened to a program on CBC radio a while back about staying in spheres of thought. A sphere of thought is basically anything you can do that's related to whichever subject you want to concentrate on. WF is definitely related to AM - therefor not a waste of time.

Except when I get wrapped up in religious threads and 3 post replies...ughh
