I use Vista, and have never had any problems on any Windows product (Vista or XP). Never had the blue screen of death. Never had a massive hard drive failure. Never had any of the crap that people always complain about.

In fact the security is a little annoying. I went to use brutus to crack into somebodies server and I had to turn off the firewall because it kept on auto-deleting brutus whenever I tried to run it.

Besides that I use CentOS for servers.

I really haven't touched my Windows XP desktop since I got a Macbook last year - I find I can do things faster for the most part on Mac OS. However, I just got a Mac Pro a few weeks ago & I'll be running Mac OS, Windows 7 in a virtual machine (seems like a pretty good OS so far), and CentOS 5 (free branch of RedHat Enterprise) Linux in yet another virtual machine for some development work, though I usually just use shell access on that.

Getting a second monitor, too, so I can always have Mac OS on one monitor and Windows on the other. MS Office is much better on Windows, but I love Terminal and the shell environment on Mac OS.

you think so? I don't really agree, the interface on Windows is much more cluttered to me and unintuitive, at least in office 2007 windows vs 2008 mac. I need to give iWork a shot again. For my technical and scientific writing I use LaTeX, nothing even comes close in comparison to the power of LaTeX.

I personally use Leopard, but I think the real question should be, who uses their OS productively to make money? I'd rather be making 1k a day and be using win98, than be rocking on OSX and skint. :P

Enough posting on WF!! Work to do....

osx. I am primarly a photographer, so *nix isn't an option, I need Lightroom, PS, etc. although I am a network admin for a living, primarly windows environment, XP desktops, server 2000 and server 2008 servers, NAS devices and a few Ubuntu desktops in the mix.

was 100% XP until this year, and now have moved almost completely to OS/X. System just runs smoother and can get things done faster, IMHO.
