I think that changing a name and a "brand" isn't really that big of a deal. He should just change the name, alert all his customers, and re-market it with a new name. Sucks, but thats just the way it is.

Someone should stick Monster Cable onto Monster Energy Drink and let them go at it. They've sued everyone else with "Monster" in their name from Monster.com to mini golf courses. I'm actually surprised they haven't gone after the energy drink co.

If I were him I'd write a nice letter just like the the guy from Blue Jeans cables or whatever that other cable company was telling them in not so many words to go fuck themselves.

Agree on this. He's so passionate about it - he even looks close to tears at some points, but it's clearly a very clever marketing angle at the same time. How many of us will remember that digeridoo guy logo after seeing the video and associate it with a beer from vermont that fought monster.

I would love to actually read the C&D letter and see how Monter's attorneys extrapolate a "likelihood of confusion" between Monster energy drinks and Vermontster Micro-brewed beer with a very small distribution range. That has got to be a legal STRETCH if ever there was one. Nevermind that the logos, slogan, etc. are nothing alike.

On the other hand- this is a Miniature Golf place I've seen out by Pittsburgh that appears to all but COPY Monster's logo. No C&D for them? Welcome to Monster Mini Golf
