Of course, they are serving teeth whitening ads on the same page as the article. They basically say that Dazzle Smile uses deceptive advertising to sell their shit. Dazzle points the finger at Azoogle, and Azoogle points the finger at "other" networks.

I don't hate on him too much he is just doing his job trying to stir up some stuff. Affiliates need to get off this bandwagon and start promoting some more legitimate shit before the government starts becoming assholes not knowing what is actually going on but just believing everything in the news and regulating the hell out of affiliate marketing. Google has already stopped allowing these types of ads to run, same with a lot of other advertising networks. It is better off in the long-run to quit on these offers when the heat is on it. Rebills have been around forever in legit forms but companies that don't let you cancel and enroll you in other programs are just asking for lawsuits. But this is coming from someone who does mostly lead generation so what do I know. The problem I have the most with Wired's article is that they hate rebills and these type of advertisements but are making money off of them so in all reality are they also as much of an accomplice as azoogle and affiliates for promoting these?

people will run them until

a) their ad networks dont let them (in which case some will cloak)
b) they get sued
c) the aff networks get rid of them

thats really it. whether or not this stuff is bad for the industry, people are still going to do shit if it makes them money.
