I won't leave any spoilers here. But you can watch the video at the source. As mad as I am at IW for fucking over the PC player base, if I had a console, I would definitely pick this up right now.

Fox News is going to have a field day with this one. It's so perfect. Unfortunately, IW is going to be able to claim "first" with scenes like this, so in the future, they won't be as well done, and will just be included as shock value.

Looks fantastic. I love the controversial nature of this. Pushing all the right buttons for MASSIVE exposure in the press.

Other than that opening scene, it's not too bad. There really isn't that much blood, even in that opening scene if you look at it closely. I also like to laugh at the people who claim "this is the most realistic shooter evar, it's just too much". It clearly isn't, and is not even close. No one plays the more realistic shooters because they aren't that much fun.

...the fact that there won't be any dedicated servers for PC multiplayer, and instead P2P, just ruins the whole thing for me. Unless they somehow managed to make P2P FPS multiplayer good, I won't be buying it.

I didn't get to see the vid before it got taken down but from the other videos i've seen from the game I'm pretty sure world at war has more blood in it.

and yeah, PC gamers won't be buying this because of the forced matchmaking.

But for us Xboxers/PS3 peeps its gonna be fucking awesome.


(I feel bad for the PC gamers though, they really got screwed)

WTF is wrong with these gaming companies and the choices they're making? The decisions on the PC side of this game are shocking.

Operation Flashpoint, Dragon Rising (much anticipated sequel, underdevelopment for years, big hype) went on sale in the UK a couple weeks back at half the normal price for a game of its stature.

The reviews are so bad I've not even bothered installing it

Nah, the beginning was pretty bloody. There was like people crawling on the ground and shit. Like, people were trying to help other people who get shot and shit. It was pretty intense.

But, quite frankly, if this was solely a PC game, the reviews wouldn't be as high, because PC games are used to this sort of standard of FPS

(Crysis, HL/HL2/Deus Ex/QuakeWorld/TF1 and 2/Stalker, Far Cry, F.e.a.r, Doom1,2, Enemy Territory, vcod, cod2, Quake 3, Battlefield 1942, BF2, Postal, PlanetSide, System Shock, UT 99/2004, Tribes 2, Rainbow Six, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Counter-Strike, Marathon);

console gamers really just have Halo and Goldeneye/Perfect Dark to be honest.

The PS3 doesn't really have a strong FPS (KZ1/2,Haze,Resistance, aren't really that good) besides cod4,WaW, and mw2.

Because of the nature of the controls, every fps for console is significantly slower than on PC, and most, if not all of them have to include options for aiming assistance

I'd like to add that this video is also worse than what was in MW2, but you didn't see that many people (if anyone) complain about it.

Not to mention body parts being blown off every 2 seconds in the multiplayer lol.


The reason i see for them requiring matchmaking for PC is to screw you into buying their DLC. People used to download the map packs for free and mod the hell out of everything. Now they're forced to play on their servers and forced to buy the map packs.

I think they were hoping no one would notice haha, but it didnt slip by anyone. Up until the other day the Amazon had 100% 1 star reviews on the PC version and everyone was bitching. Seems like Amazon decided to delete all of them though.

I love how people are complaining all over other forums about how it's too graphic and whatnot, especially for a realistic game. While it was a bit disturbing, it was the good kind of disturbing. Like, wow, they haven't done this in quite awhile.

IW seems to gotten a pretty good grab of the video though, so the media shitstorm probably won't come out until a majority of the console kiddies who got their parents to preorder it for them play the level and have nightmares or some shit.

Oh, that wasn't the original video. The original video had the sounds of the people screaming and shit in the beginning.

Its going to fail hardcore for the PC since they have told the community to go fuck its self. I can't recall the last fps that didn't allow people to make maps and mods. That's what makes them so great. I refuse to play a fps for console since they get dumbed down for little kids. It takes way less skill to console fps than PC.

Anyone since they fucked it up I will just bootleg it and play the campaign and delete. No way I am pay extra for every map and mod.

Completely agreed. I have a friend whose gamertag is "JusCallMeSteve". Back in the days of Halo 2, he was an admin at the popular gaming site H3Mod.com. He made mods for Halo 2 and everyone wanted to play games with him just so they can see the mods that he developed.

When Halo 3 came out, Forge came out with it. This was Bungie's way of getting around the mods that people chose to perform, and in doing so turned off a lot of the modders (their target audience, I might add).

Can't wait for Demonoid to be back in business...
