Windows Vista. Anyone tried it?

Microsoft is giving away the beta for free until Friday. I was all set to try it until I saw that they are saying that you shouldn't install it on your main computer. So, has anyone tried it? What was it like? From the screenshots that I have seen it looks like it has some nice features, but those are detracted from by the constant nag screens.

Yep, tried installing it today - twice.
Both times the install fucked up and machine restarted.
I know it's a Beta, but it's off to a bad start.

I guess issues like that are why they don't recommend installing on your main machine.

I partioned my drives appropriately.
Although I did run into a problem even after I got rid of the Vista partition - the boot loader was still there.
Had to boot into recovery console with my Win2003 disc and run FIXMBR to clean up the bootloader. Then reinstalled Linux and now I'm running Win2003 + Ubuntu.

I never trust a Microsoft OS until at least Service Pack 1. Past experience tells me to hold off and wait.

It took me forever to try XP when it first came out.

It's windows all over again with OS X wannabe styling, my friend ordered two DVDs and gave me one. I don't see any features that blow me away. I hope they have an ace up their sleeve before actual launch.

Lame

P.S. - I'm not one of those crazy die hard mac users, I use my PC way more than my mac

Windows has been emulating Mac OS ever since windows 95 came out.

Windows 95 = Mac OS 85
