That may all be true. But there is a right way and a wrong way to handle these kinds of situations. Everyone here would have listened to both sides. Kevin's initial response was completely unprofessional though, which made things 5x worse. You would never see Jason, Ruck or Mike respond to an affiliate like that in an open forum.

XY7 has made themselves look worse and worse with each successive reply. If even one affiliate decides not to send traffic to XY7 over this thread, they have hurt their business, and are thus worse off financially.

I don't think too many affiliates will be joining (whether Ben's beef is legit or not) XY7's network based on how they handle conflicts in public. And yet if they were upfront and professional like Smax, Ruck or MikeK, they could have added to their company's rep, and turned a negative situation, into a positive and profitable outcome.

I'm not trying to get myself involved in this ugly mess, but for my 2 cents, XY7 regardless of all the issues that they have had on the forums, ETC, every bit of traffic I've ever sent to them I've been paid for. On time, every time.

I'm not sure I agree with how Kevin responded to the issue, but I guess when your back is up against a wall you tend to lash out.

EDIT; ps I've worked out of XY7's offices before, probably why my name is included on that list as well.

XY7 had an Antonio Esfandiari (sp) offer that they told me they'd hook me up with (at a Denver conference this Summer) and I never heard back.

At ASE in NYC he didn't exhibit, but instead hung out at the entrance to meet people.

Guy is nice enough in person, but just seems shady as fuck online.

Hi, I am the Director Of Operations at XY7.

I wanted to say a few things to set the record straight.
First, the affiliate's claims are ludicrous. We do all of these leads internally? Huh? We shut down people so we can take their ideas? How have we been a market leader in the EDU space and been a home for affiliates to go to for EDU for over a year now? How do we keep getting more and more budget and have the strongest media buyers out there on our Criminal Justice Deal? At the end of the day, this affiliate has run over 1000 leads in the last year on many different EDU campaigns and each and every advertiser has asked that we stop his sub-id or lower his price. When we saw him start this campain with 11 leads and 39 clicks (now you have the real stats), we looked into what he was doing. His referrers did not look legitimate but we wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and call him. We asked him how he generated the leads and his story changed from minute to minute. We asked him if he used his own lp he said no. When we called him out, he said yes. Then, when we asked to see it because we would need to approve it, (even though we already could see it from the referrers but nothing would come up, we wanted to make sure there was no mistake as to why we could not pull it up), and we asked why we would not pull the page up and he put us on hold. Then, he asked if we had "jacked" his page!?!?! What?? He accused us of "jacking" his page and this is why the page would not come up. Then, he started screaming he was going to CX but all day long would not leave Kevin alone and continued to pound Kevin with IM's and phone calls screaming we jacked his page (we STILL have never seen the page because it never came up). Keep in mind, we are paying the guy for the leads. We just wanted to stop a potential problem otherwise we would have seen him come on this board and scream "bloody murder" as to why he did not get paid for his bad leads. The reason Kevin reacted like this is because Kevin continued to try and get this guy off his back and he has not stopped! If someone blatantly lies over and over again and then starts to accuse you of stealing it gets a little frustrating. Please, also remember that the final word from him is these leads were from PPV yet, 39 clicks and no impressions? Plus, the fact that he could not back up one of his claims. The EDU space is EXTREMELY brand sensitive and there is no reason we should give a guy like this budget. Plus, the last time he generated leads, the advertisers pixel did not fire on 29% of his leads but this happened with no one else. I ended up paying him for the extra leads that did not even get submitted because I went off of our pixel count and not the advertiser. At the end of the day, most odd tracking issues like that are a result of shady activity. Again, I am not accusing him. I am just saying, we are on the affiliate's side until we are lied to. After lies, we WILL NOT stand by your side. AF48374 CEASE AND DESIST from all contact with XY7.
