I was thinking it might be cool to have some networking time in Vegas with other WF beer-lovers at a good beer bar in the area. I'm a big fan of good beers, and my idea of a good bar is one where you see a full wall of taps when walking in (and I'm currently drinking my Trader Joe/Unibroue's Vintage 2009). And a bar meetup is always good for networking - Not knocking smaxor's WF strip club party idea, but if you're trying to network while in a strip club, something just might be off in your head...

So far I've found Welcome to the Freakin' Frog! , but I'm not really an expert on the Vegas beer scene only ever being in Vegas once. Anyone else interested in something like this? I'd be in whether there's a sponsor or not - I'm just up for good beer and hanging out.

Definitely. The key is to figure out some time where other (good) events aren't going on. Anyone have a list of the major parties (invite-only and all attendee) to help figure out an opening? I'll be in from the night of the 16th til the morning of the 20th.

Maybe an earlier evening event before other parties might work?

Frankly, I don't have any sort of schedule other than the little that's posted at Parties and Special Events during Affiliate Summit West 2010 #ASW10 ? MissyWard.com .

My thoughts are somewhere around 7 PM on Sunday or Monday might work best to not conflict with parties. I've only been to one Affiliate Summit before (ASE08), and went with a company I worked for then, so the party schedule was a bit different and set in stone for me based on what partners/vendors were doing.

As for the venue, I need other suggestions on a good beer venue. I'd assume there has to be a place in one of the casinos that while not specifically a beer bar, probably has a ton of beers on tap. I don't care if it's a burger joint with 40 different beers on tap.

Freakin Frog only seems to have 10 taps (mostly bottles), but I found these other 2 options on BeerAdvocate:

As a Las Vegas native I can tell you that the Yard House is where it's at. The Freakin Frog is over run by a bunch of douche college kids. I used to love a mile away from the Yard House and was there at least twice a week. With 160 beers on tap I can tell you that this place is fucking awesome! It's not too crowded during the week. You can look in the keg room, you can see the miles of hoses run above you, and they play classic rock, not that shitty top 40 bullshit. And its not that far off the strip, it's actually on las vegas blvd, just south of the casinos. They have great food too. You want a beer meet up go there, you won't regret it. And, if you're doing it on Tuesday, that's the best time, because they get all the keg shipments in on Tuesday morning so everything is in stock. God I love that place.

Having never been to a WF meetup before (since I ended up missing all the fun, including missing that WF group that went to that bar on tranny night at ASE08) I'm definitely looking forward to finally meeting WFers in person. And I'm excited for a good beer selection.

The Yard House is nice, they have a ton of beer on tap. However the draw backs are it is a chain and there is no difference if we go there in Vegas or in our home town.

If we are in Vegas lets go somewhere unique to vegas: Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas
It is across the street from Hard Rock, great German beer, and some place where being loud as fuck is expected!

BigWill - It seems like a number of people will probably be at the A4D party - I plan to be there, as long as my AM responds to my email... I'm not really at any ballin' status with A4D, but hopefully my AM will let me in on the details.

If that is the case, it's definitely worth figuring out another day or time for a beer meetup. So much to do, so little time.
