I don't really care how the IP data was harvested, but the product isn't for me personally. Two reasons.

1) I don't want to cloak 150k IPs. From what I've read, the IPs are taken from places like here, Nick's blog and his chat room amongst a few other places. But isn't the product designed to keep the lower end of the market from stealing pages? I would have thought that the people who frequent places like here would have the brains on them to get around the technology.

A lot seems to be stressed over the point of "it'll keep the majority of users out, the majority being the idiots." But it sounds like the IP list is being taken from the minority.

I don't know how the data is being gathered and filtered but the concept of one IP to one affiliate seems a little flimsy to me. I live in a house with three other people and none of them are affiliate marketers. What if one of them decides to lose some weight?

I know from the traffic logs in my own blog that I get a lot of visitors using fixed IPs in large companies. Does a whole company get blacklisted and redirected because some blog reading sponge with half an eye on affiliate marketing decided to read your Newbie Guide? Again, I don't know the filtering process, but without knowing it - I can't trust it.

2) I don't feel a burning need to hide my LPs. There's nothing special about them. I'm much more badly affected by people ripping my creatives and uploading them to the same advertising platforms/targets. Traffic source competition does more harm to my business than a lazy marketer who rips the same page word for word but doesn't have the test data to compete with my next move.

Anyway, splashing personal information like criminal records is a new found low. There's a reason I keep a low profile on forums now that I have a blog. It's just not worth the bullshit from people who get off on twisting words and looking for drama.

Not too unlike Wafotards selling ebooks to one another, just on a more advanced level. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just something to think about.

It's about diversification. I started out as a designer, learned coding, some SEO, and it only made sense to start a site like designcourse.com - teach my skills to others, and it's definitely paying off.

I think somehow this forum has accepted that there's something wrong with that when there shouldn't be.
