Wfexclusive Trends Online in the Coming Years

Here is the deal, I personally "know" the internet has changed over the last few years. The whole landscape of consumer behavior has moved from buying to they need help. This is what I predict will be HUGE over the next few years and if you are looking for ideas, the online help arena will be where you want to position yourself to make it through these tough times that i am calling the Great Depression II.

Here are some of my ideas for you to steal and run with. Please share yours because most people aren't willing to put the years of work it may take to have a website they can live off of.
  1. Anything debt or credit help related
  2. Divorce websites that allow women and men to share. AKA Forum
  3. Anything green economy will be HUGE
  4. Relocation websites since Americans are moving out of state every where
  5. Websites for local small businesses on the cheap. Think local and don't think making a killing on one sale. Make it on hosting and upgrades.
Let's help others make it with ideas. People who stick to a website, grow it and do it right can live off of one big content website forever. Who is willing to do this and who has some other ideas for the people who need them or can use them?

Wow - where the hell have you been?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I got a job with the gub'mint because I've never really taken IM seriously yet, still dabbling and have other interests. I was also really lucky with my situation and am very interested in your ideas.

Thanks again!

and btw - completely agree that this shit is going to "get real", real soon.

Hey ck!! Nice to see you. Glad you're doing OK. Yes, the SWHTF soon. You need to build a big content site in a niche you can make or break with a better site. Just takes time and patience more than anything. Most people go from idea to idea, but if they just focused 100% on one niche, they can make it online.

Another idea is the tattoo and rap online arenas. Tattoos is a tougher niche, but rap and anything related is so doable. It doesnt seem like the bruthas who own the niche do not know SEO to well. No pun intended, just my observation.

You could sell ringtones, rap software or beat software.

I can agree to an extent. They are obviously still buying or else you wouldn't be making any g notes with the big G. The internet has come to a point where you can find anything and everything. It's getting harder to sell to a consumer before they do their own research on the product they are interested in buying.

So I think either way there's still a lot of money to be made. You can give them the information they need and let them click on that Google ad to make their purchase, or you can be the advertiser rolling on the Google Content network or the search network making money. Either way, both options will bank money for a very long time.

I enjoy witnessing the effort. But seriously, clicking on one of your threads is like walking into a karaoke bar at happy hour. Fun to witness for a minute, but quickly becomes extremely excruciating. Good luck though... keep practicing.

As fat old white corporate big heads bring ebay to its knees it will open opportunities in niche auction spaces...

We've already seen this ring true recently in the handmade niche - see etsy and artfire.

No one asked the stoned Kanook, did we? So, please take your cold Canadian a$$ off my threads and stop "trying" to make other people look bad so your sorry internet a$$ looks good. You have no value to add to society do you? Go stick your head in the snow bro.

BYA, I think it would be more appropriate if you wrote in all caps. I really picture that's how you would talk. But more intense, maybe with your eyes bugging out a bit. Lemme see if I can find an example...

Dude.... I miss living in Cali.

Don't fucking ask me why that made me think of it, but fuck I miss it.

Back to the topic.

Thanks for the outlook man... Some of us surely get stuck in shit and don't know where to go from there.

Sure, there are the assholes that somehow seem to get it right more often than not, but some of us, like me, just get fucking hung-up on what we 'know', and what we 'know' isn't always a long-term viable solution or method.

I hit Craigslist hard as fuck last year, but that shit just isn't what it used to be... I've been thinking long-term lately, and I've read pretty much every post of yours the last week, and the shit is insightful.

I've got a few topics I came up with, my sticking point is actually fucking doing something with it.

It's not like a Wordpress site is fucking hard or anything, I think I just like being a lazy piece of shit.

Maybe I'll get over that now.

Thanks for saying thanks and not buying my BS attitude and show I put on sometimes. It is all for fun and this post is who I am. Yeah, I like to mess around, but 98% of the time, I am a serious as a heart attack.

Man, if you would really follow that advice and keep your head down as you make calculated steps forward, you will make it. The first thing is acknowledging what is needed, now ACTION must happen to make it happen.

The time I stopped posting was the fall of 2007 when I started building out my blog and forum. At the time I wanted to start my own affiliate program so I went to work for a law firm to learn the inside ropes of the legal industry and study what makes lawyers tick. At first, I didn't use Google Adsense and went direct to lawyers for banner space.

In fact, many old school affiliates like Lerchmo and others here on the Fire used to bust my balls for the way I ran my operation. Saying it cant be done and I am an idiot. It used to piss me off and I had something to prove to the world and the nay sayers. They actually gave a me a lot of motivation to say, F You, I can do this and you're the lame one. So, I made a decision to focus 110% on this venture.

Soon after, I started my own company doing loan modification processing and mortgage audits. That was a nightmare and I hate having 60 employees and $250,000 a month over head. I did that a year or so and shut down to work from home. Best decision I ever made.

By the way, where is Lerchmo? Anyone see that guy so I can rub this in his affilaite face?

New Trends-

1. Self education. You can't get the loans to stay in college, your parents are broke and no employer is going to invest in you. You have to learn it and get certificated in it. New (or little known) ways of doing this will make it big. And there are going to be ways to monetise this.
2. Post retirement careers. All those people who are told that their pension funds are blown and their employer doesn't want them back, at least on their old terms. There's going to be more spending power (as they're working) but there's bound to be a lot of resentment there that can be harnessed.
3. Really unprepared small business people. There are people who don't want to start a business who are going to have to because the regular jobs are going to dry up. This new wave of half-way business people, these freelancers, franchise owners and small time bosses are going to need loads of help to live the un-dream.

DIY Investing: People are pissed that their 401k was blown to hell the past couple of years and they sure aren't going to trust Wall St. to set everything right. Signs of this trend are already present in recent advertisements from big brokerage firms - aiming for a Main St., small-town feel - Fidelity's "guidance from Fidelity" ads come to mind. There are going to be ways to monetize this while truly helping people invest for a safe and stable financial future.
