Something is happening. Recently, we have heard about a sudden suspicious number of incidents supposedly targeting Democrat congressmen. Maybe you heard about these alleged incidents. I think both of these are either plants in the audience or lies.

Next, we heard about alleged 'broken windows' and a 'cut gas line'. I think these are staged events too.

Next, we had this piece in Politico.

This has all the markings of a coordinated Marxist campaign
.

What I see is this administration and their Marxist lackeys targeting those who are daring to dissent from this socialist agenda.

I think they are staging these events and will slowly escalate them. I think this is part of a widespread campaign culminating in the introduction of a specific piece of legislation that will destroy our Constitution for good.

At a certain point in the future, I believe they will introduce some type of law restricting free speech. This will be on the grounds of it 'inciting hatred' or some other type arbitrary nonsense.

I knew this was coming, but I didn't think it would happen this fast. Call me paranoid, but just wait and see what happens. I know what kind of people the tea party protesters are; they're just everyday moms, dads, kids, and grandparents living regular lives. They're peaceful people.

This is about shutting down dissent and having one-party propaganda to go with one-party rule.

Mark my words.

It happened years ago. Google "Patriot Act".

Exactly.

Hellblazer spewing "marxist" conspiracy theories has no idea in hell what real Marxism is like. I happen to. From personal experience.

So you're talking about "a certain point in the future" and then as if something already happened?
I knew this was coming, but I was just an idiot.
There, I fixed it for you.

Then you of all people should know this administration is teeming with stealth Marxists. You of all people should know what they want to create. And the Patriot Act doesn't go far enough for them, because obviously their enemies are still speaking.

So you're talking about "a certain point in the future" and then as if something already happened?

The legislation hasn't begun yet. The sequence clearly has. And don't waste your time on insults, they mean nothing to me.

So you think the United States of America soon become Communist Republic of America?

If so let me be first for welcome you new comrades.

In the mighty words of ESPN, C'MON MAN!

Hellblazer, I don't agree with everything you say but you're smarter than this. If the government really had a secret marxist/socialist agenda to silence those who are critical of it do you think they would waste their time with broken windows and racial slur allegations? Maybe I'm just an old fashioned totalitarian but if they really had this agenda they could just start offing conservatives with access to a microphone or strong arm the FCC into removing licenses for petty violations and false/fabricated complaints.

As a conservative activist you should know first hand just how mad other conservatives are that this bill passed and it really shouldn't come as a surprise that in every group there will be a handful of idiots who step over the boundaries and take things too far. Yes it's unfair that some idiots on the other side will use these isolated incidents to try and claim that everyone with your ideology is to blame but remember, you guys did it too.

Back when the debate was if we should invade Iraq or not republican congressmen and senators experienced the same thing, angry calls, death threats, damaged property, hell some guy even threw a grenade that had the possibility of exploding at President Bush. Does the action of a few idiots represent everybody who was against the war? Most likely not, but vocal conservatives were more than happy to paint them as "hating america", "actively working against the troops", "traitors to the flag", and "terrorist sympathizers".

All that and now these incidents were are the changing of the guards, if Bush had tried to pass the health insurance mandate then democrats would be screaming at the top of their lungs about how he's whoring out America to corporate interests and then compare him to Hitler. Of course conservatives would be praising him for finally kicking out the freeloaders and leeches who use the emergency room for free healthcare that costs the tax payer billions every year and hailing him as the next Ronald Reagan.

I'm sure you'll see again as part of the next issue Washington is planning on taking up: immigration reform. Part of that reform is the use of a national ID and new biometric social security cards to prevent fraud, both of these were ideas of the Bush administration's DOJ and DHS and for the lack of a better term "endorsed" by Sean Hannity, Bill Kristol, Lou Dobbs and Micheal Savage, all voices who I'm sure will actively speak out against it simply because the president now has a D next to his name instead of an R. Of course back then democrats considered the national ID provision as the most severe infringement of privacy since the patriot act, but now that the president is on their side most will probably be cheering on the same thing they used to protest.

I guess what my drunken rambling is trying to say is don't get involved in the trivial day to day hypocrisy of either party because you'll probably regret spending that much time focusing on it. There are much more constructive things you could be doing to help get elected officials who you agree with in office especially if you're tech savvy and since you're on wickedfire I can only assume you are.

Many of the campaign managers in charge of promoting their candidate have no clue what their doing when it comes to online advertising, get on the phone and ask if you can volunteer to help manage their online marketing efforts. That actually worked out pretty well for a friend of mine, he emailed some tips to a congressional representative, they brought him in as a volunteer, and then he got hired by a well known republican strategist to design and promote candidate websites. That path is probably more fulfilling and effective then coming to wickedfire with headlines like these that liberals will ignore and that libertarians will agree with until republicans take things over at which point they'll turn on you and side with liberals.

good luck bro.

Good response, I appreciate the reasoned tone, and I've considered all that you mention. Normally there is a lot of overlap between the two parties, you are correct in that regard, however I keep trying to tell people Obama is different.

Research his background. Research his history. Research his friends. Research who he has appointed to various positions. These are 60's era radical communists(LITERALLY, they've admitted to it!) who traded their hippie garb for suits and are now working to transform the system from within. Mark Lloyd, Anita Dunn, Van Jones, Carol Browner, Cass Sunstein, Jim Wallis, these are all SELF-ADMITTED communists. And they were all elevated to positions of power by Obama. I'm telling you, there is a pattern developing here.

Believe me, I realize how crazy this all sounds, but I wouldn't be saying it if I didn't absolutely believe it. Obama is not your average politician, he's not your average Democrat or Republican, he is the Trojan Horse no one saw coming(not even Hillary), people keep thinking they can draw these usual comparisons, but they can't. Either I'll be proven wrong, which I doubt, or this pattern will only continue and grow stronger.

But I appreciate the measured tone anyways.

Here is a cartoon about why it isn't necessary for any state to become totalitarian any more.

I think you should really think about the state of the world right now. I mean we already pay 60% of our money to the government (Europe) willingly.
People in power have realised a long time ago that there are much easier ways to control people than the way Stalin and Hitler did.

I'll let you Americans duke it out, because the US becoming a "Marxist" state is certainly the least of my worries.

I can't think of any example of a communist government that hasn't been preceded by imperialism or fascism and (initially at least) had the support of the majority of the population.

I'd think it more likely that things will go to the far right, rather than left, toward a totalitarian fascist regime. (Which may well then get overthrown by a "people's army", resulting in the communist state you so fear...)

Your prospective turns almost everyone off because you make it seem like Bush was an innocent blond haired, blue eyed girl frolicking in a garden by comparison.

Bush did a lot of fucked up shit too, quit denying that the entire fucking-over-our-Constitution has been a progression. It didn't just suddenly start with Obama.
