Question Earphone Recommendations?

I've been on the the hunt for some quality earphones for months now. For some reason the Apple earphone always break down within 3-4wks of usage. I've tried the SkullCandy brand, and those don't stay in your ear; they just keep falling out.

I'm looking for earphones that first of all have a mic on them, hold on to your ears easily, and are decent quality for playing music.

Any out there that you guys love? I'm looking to spend up to $100 to replace my current SkullCandy ones.

Thanks.

Some crappy Alivio headphones I got from radioshack while I was bored. I need earphones though, not headphones.

V-Moda Vibe II's! Read any review and they will compare them to earphones much more expensive such as Shure's, Westones etc.

I've had these original ones for years... can't wait for them to die so I can get the Vibe II's, but they just wont

Great looking. But that tip of it is rubber right, and I can pull it off. How well does it stay on? All my earphones that have always seem to loss that rubber piece. Which is actually why I am looking for new ones right now, the rubber piece off my skullcandy fell today, and no idea when.

I use earphones daily when at the gym. The best bang for the buck is probably the Bose. The bass is deep in them and they sound good with hip hop, rap, house, techno, etc... If you listen to other music where you want clean and crisp highs they are probably not going to be for you.

Monster makes a set called "Monster Beats by Dre". Another guy at the gym has them and he really likes em'. I listened to a set of "Monster Turbine Pro" and they are hands down bad ass! My Bose are pretty worn and frayed so I will probably grab the Turbines when they finally are done for.

We have one of these threads about every month here. Try searching.

That being said, I will once again recommend Shure.

Their earphones are killer. They've just come out with a pair specifically for mobile devices and they also make an adapter cable for their other models.

Shure Americas | Music + Mobile
Shure Americas | SE Earphones

They have a price point for just about everyone, starting at about $100 and going up to around $500.

Yes they have little rubber pieces on the ends (all of them do) but they are quite securely attached. Although they can be removed for cleaning I've never had one come off while in use. They also come with about 8 pairs of tips in different sizes, materials and hardnesses.

You really can't go wrong with their products.

For $100 or less I'd recommend for Klipsch Image S4i.

Some of the best in ear earphones you can get, and they have a mic and iphone / ipod controls and you can pick them up for only 100 bucks at most Apple stores.

Sennheiser would probably be by next pick I used to own some CX500's and they were great, and Shure are quality as well.

I personally wouldn't recommend bose earphones, their headphones are amazing but their buds are overpriced with average sound.

This might also be of use: Best earbuds for less than $100 - CNET Reviews

For good quality headphones you're going to spend $100+. For earphones though there are these I bought at best buy for $10. It's called Gummy's by JVC and they are very good. I've had them for almost 5 months now and listen to them 12-20hrs daily. They have this like extra layer that makes them a bit tight but I don't mind.

Amazon Amazon

they have varies colors btw

They're silicon tips, they do come off but not very easily.. I haven't lost any so far. You actually get a whole bunch of them with the earphones in different sizes and colours, so there's always spares if you lose one.

Don't take my word for it.. as I said, do some research and you'll see how much audiophiles rave about them.
