I know theres some mma fans here so this HUGE news can be appreciated.

UFC has acquired Pride fighting, and Dana White says this includes all the fighters.

UFC® : Ultimate Fighting Championship®

Some GREAT fights could be in the near future!

He's not permanently signed with Bodog. There will be a Fedor vs. UFC HW champ in the coming months.

IMHO Randy doesn't stand a chance against CroCop or Fedor. Great news anyway.

Pride has been having bigtime problems in Japan due to it's association with the Yakuza. It's really gone down the shitter in the past couple of years from the inside. They lost the majority of their corporate sponsors.

As much as I like randy, i have to agree. He has problems against strikers with great takedown defense. That spells doom against CroCop. Fedor is just a bad matchup for anyone. The only time i've seen fedor in trouble is when he gets caught in the moment and tries to slug it out against someone with a strong chin. Like the Fujita fight. He seemed to learn from that against Mark Hunt when he finally took him down and got the sub.

It's not really "UFC" who purchased Pride but Zuffa, the parent company (I know, I know, being technical!). They plan to keep the Pride name and stage inter-organization matches. Here's a decent article on it that mentions the sales price: ESPN.com - MORESPORTS - UFC to buy rival Pride, plans to stage megafights - was actually kinda cool to see ESPN have this on their main news headlines page.

You all know for Mirko CroCop, well, I thought that it would be cool to show you this, Mirko in Croatian show being postman, while postman replaces with CroCop and goes to police center for training. Well, you have to see this

I thinks it'll be good for the sport. I prefer watching ufc fights but as long as its two good fighters, I pretty much don't care who it is
