Fuck Holy shit I'm almost broke

Wow.... I think the shit just hit the fan for me from the economy.

Anyone else out there having that "oh shit" feeling right about now?

Trying to maintain a sense of humor though...

Time to suck some dicks or something I guess.

Yes, I know the oh-shit felling well. The feeling of not knowing how the fuck you're going to get the next weeks groceries, and thinking that you're being wasteful because you've cut 1 to many slices of cheese.

That's where I'm at right now.

I've always kind of loved to fantasize about the apocalypse and this is as good as it gets. Things are really fucked and it's definitely getting worse before it get's better. I guarantee it. The domino effect of the collapse of the housing market is far from over.

My earning hasn't really been affected, but I get that oh shit feeling thinking about friends and family, several of whom are already in bad spots. I don't know how/when it will all get resolved?

One thing I am convinced of though is that this is one of the best possible industries to be involved in, so if you're not able to live off this yet, keep trying.

It's great because it's so flexible. You can change what you're promoting at a moment's notice, with a little work beforehand.

And, I'm sad to say, nothing makes sales like a prospect's desperation for a better life.

Yep, definitely in the 'oh shit' zone right now. It's basically forcing me to try new things, since I like eating and paying my bills.

I'm finding quite the opposite, I have more work than ever. And have quit my job to go it on my own. I'm lucky because I can design, but I reinvest in PPC which brings in dough aswell, it helps if you have a skill that you can pimp out like design or coding, to pull you through hard times.

I'm happy, alot better off in money terms, and loving not listening to a boss. Kick ass 'recession' for me!

my online store is struggling like a mofo... but i finally made a profit again today from AM, the first in a couple of months. The thing that bothers me about it is its only because of the exchange rate..

I spent $300AUD on adwords and made $260USD, which is about $390AUD. not happy.. more tweaking is called for. I feel so dirty and unsatisfied just profiting from the exchange rate difference.

Try to diversify what your doing.

Have you tried EPN?
If you're PPC, have you tried SEO? Visa Versa? Social Media?

Emailing?
Consulting?
Adsense?
SEM company?
writing?
Designing?
Directories?
Domaining?

Soooo many ways to make money on the internet. When times are rough and what you know isn't working, try out some new things...

Back in September when it became really obvious how much shit was hitting the fan, my business picked up. I started writing for more clients, and picked up a virtual assistant gig. Maybe not the big money like is available on the actual marketing end but it felt pretty good at the time.

Then I moved to St Louis and people I would meet at at a bar would tell me how they were losing their jobs, after 10-15 years at the same place, with no similar jobs available anywhere in the metro area. I just didn't feel like telling them, "Man, my business picked up just as soon as everything started going to shit!"

Soooo many ways to make money on the internet. When times are rough and what you know isn't working, try out some new things...
I dunno, I'd say the opposite. When times are tough, cut down and stick to what you do best and go for the sure money. When things are going well, that's the time to take risks and expand.

But if what he did best was still working, i assume he wouldn't be almost out of money.....

I agree with you assuming that what you do best still works. If not, time to explore...

No matter how bad it is, if you are alive and upright, there is always the potential to turn it all around.

Exactly. Lots of options out there. I keep telling myself if I can manage to do decently in this economy, once things pick up again I should be killing it.

Keep your head up, be smart & work your ass off.

Suck it up and get to work. You're definitely not going to make money sitting around and bitching about it.
