Banning New Users / Killing Stupid Questions - WickedFire - Affiliate Marketing Forum

I'm new here but there has been plenty of change since I first joined. If you guys want to keep jack off questions and spammers off the boards, I was thinking about adding another page to the forum when you join. So when a member signs up they must read a list of immediately bannable offenses and if they are newbies they get a list of what to NOT ask. It can be really simple but effective.

Example List

Do this and you get an instant ban

How do I make money online?
What is Wordpress?
What is Arbi?
What is AdSense?
Give me your keywords?
Can you show me an example of Arbi?
eBook spammers

Also you can direct people who are newbies directly to the Newbie Section / Most important posts

I don't think it is wise to cut people just because they are new or want to learn.

A lot of people who have been here a while still don't know jack.

I know people like to talk all tough and stuff here, but there is way too much posing going on most of the time.

The problem is not the people who don't know anything or know any better. They are moldable and can be trained. The problem are the idiots who do know better and are oozing sleaze and crap.

If you've got some n00b posting a dumb question, just point them to the stickied threads in the Newbie section and tell them to use the Search button until they have a worthwhile question.

If we banned every n00b, then eventually we would get bored with each other and start chewing off limbs and roasting them over the fire. Wait, I got WF confused with the Donner party. Hmmm....

But, seriously, I think something like Lee suggested would be useful. When new members sign up, they're taken to a page which shows them the basic rules, along with a list of helpful threads to get them started.

All known signature spammers and link farm promoting con men should be banned for the good of the community, they are a blight on the entire industry and go against the spirit of SEO and good business practice.

Digital Point is filled with self promoting morons that only want to sell links in their shitty directories.

Reading those shitty canned bidding directory (excuse to signature spam the forum) threads these guys run in the directory forums there is enough to make anyone with a sound mind sick.

So I'm all for banning these people, new or old members if they pull shit like that on any forum.

I'm a very old hand on the webmaster forum circuit, I go way back, have been on most of the forums for years, I have seen it all, I understand who is who out here and there are a lot of con men running about that some forums let run loose to signature spam and self promote.

I intend to expose these scam artists and if people get hurt, so be it, I would rather hurt the scam artists versus having them defraud new webmasters.

Wasted, no they are still there, but my signature links are removed when I'm banned and Shawn cuts off my rev. share account too, so in that way my contributions are basically stolen by bad forum management, all the while they let link farm promoters spam the shit out of the forum everyday with those idiotic directory forum threads that opportunistic link farm operators start, I call them "spam fest link and signature spamming free for alls".

These guys will find any idiotic excuse to start another spam fest thread too, all the while management looks the other way while fraud (link pimping) goes on.

Crazy Rob is now claiming that DP is going no follow, well they should because people like BlogSpammer link spam the shit out of every thread blatantly to try to manipulate Google and it is working, Rob is about 2 years too late with that idea, but they would not have to go "no follow" if they would ban the fucking spammers who they value there!

My last ban was for exposing that propagandist GTech in the political forums, anyone can go and look at my posts and see it.

But it was really for exposing DP management tactics on my forum, hell maybe they will ban me for posting the truth here, I would not put it past Shawn or Crazy Rob.

There are a whole bunch of idiots like this new idiot called Amitpatel who spam the shit out and promote their services and practically flame everyone else. Its become more like gang's operating there and doesnt seem like a free for all forum.

While they may not read it, the fact that it was in front of their eyes give fair reason to ban. Remember it's not about banning newbies, it's about banning spammers, newbies who ask questions that can be answered in the threads presented to them, or those folks who ask ridonkulous questions and need to unsubscribe from life's newletter.....You know

"What niche should I write about?"
"How do I make money online?"
"Can you give me your list of keywords?"
"What is arbi?"

You know the questions that get asked over and over again when there is a sticky at the top of the section or if the person did at least 1 search they would get 5 pages of answers...

Those folks...

There are more of them appearing by the day and if not them the sheeple...who are creating new monsters (by blindly following) as we speak, but another 30 days minimum before we see a flex of power...

And while you're here Andrew What do you think of my list of questions? It was inspired by your blogging for bucks thread The Buying Questions List

Could you or anybody maybe provide some more to help the newbies...like me..

Amit is actually one of the better webmasters on DP, but you are right, spamming is out of control, people like Blogmaster have made an art out of it and reputation trading is rampant, he also has a network of reputation traders going on and nothing has been done about it.
