This is a continuation from the first post I made found HERE

Please read over the first post before jumping into this one, as I am not going to go over the small details again from this post.

Ok, by now, you should have a site up with some ads placed on it, some content, and are working on getting your traffic. The traffic trading is simple, once you get the gist of it. Basically, you add a link to your main page daily to their site, with a good title / description, and in turn, you post a link to a video/picture gallery from your site. I will break it down here and use links from my site as examples:

VIDDEX - Daily Porn For the Daily Viewers - MY VIDEO PAGE

I take this link, and the thumbnail picture, and go to all of the sites I want traffic from and SUBMIT the link to their pages. Now, most sites want to see traffic coming from you before they accept the links, so heres how you do that.

If you are running babelogger (ie: VIDDEX - Daily Porn For the Daily Viewers) you can use the submit page, and submit the other sites link so you can send them traffic (see any link on the main page of the site to see what I mean). you will not plug their main page, but an actual content page (ie: PunaniSpot | Uncensored Pussy | Updated Daily)

Now, you may be wondering how you get your initial traffic surge to send out those hits to people. What I do, is fill my site with 10-20 plugs to hosted gallery pages from my sponsors (nastydollars, bangbros, ect. all links to these are in the other post). After I do this, I submit 5-10 different sites links so they are on the top of the list. Once this is done, I find 2-3 sites that allow the 'first link free'. I am not going to give you these links, but if you followed the links in my last post, you should know 2-3 of them.

Once you submit your link on these "first link free" sites (the VIDDEX - Daily Porn For the Daily Viewers page), you will get your free traffic to your site which will send out hits to those 5-10 different sites links you put up. After this initial surge of traffic, those 5-10 sites should have got enough hits for them to accept your links you submitted to them. This is where you will really see traffic come in. Now that you have 5-10 sites sending traffic, it will keep your ratios good (usually sites want 50%-90% of the traffic they send, so if they send 1000 hits, they want you to send them 500-900 in order to approve another link). This is generally easy, and should not be a problem once you get the ball rolling.

-----

Picking the right niche is not that hard, but finding a bunch of sites to get links from which will be productive for that niche is hard at times. Lets say you pick the "squirting" niche, you do not want traffic from a foot fetish site, since they wont be interested in what you are promoting. I try to put a few different things on viddex.com since the sites I trade with are general sites as well.

I do know that anything anal, or hardcore usually does well on most sites. I also try to promote anything about public vouyerism or anything like that. You can get good teen conversions from babe sites, good milf conversions from milf sites, ect. It's all about how you promote it. Also, the title you pick means the difference in 100 hits or 2000000 hits. It's kind of like adwords. you need to pick a title thats going to make people want to click. The dirtier the better usually.

I am in the process now of doing some SEO to a site to get it to rank for the term I am targeting which gets around 1K searches per day. If you are doing this, I would suggest targeting your sponsors name, or a site name they promote. if people are looking for "nasty dollars" they are usually more eager to pay then someone looking for "free porn". If the 1K searches per day send me 100 hits, and 1 convert, I would be making 35.00 per day on all organic traffic which comes out to $1,050.00 per month on a 30 day month. This is GOOD to know.

Also remember, when submitting plugs to your site, or any form of text on it, try to add in the keywords you want to target. If your site is about MILFs, then make sure you find all MILF keywords and keep adding them in there as much as possible. Trust me, porn viewers will not notice if you stuff your description with the keyword, they are just looking for the porn. ;)

Paysites. I do not know a LOT about them, but i do know a little bit. This is probably NOT where you want to start out in the adult industry. You can buy exclusive content from sites like matrix content, and other places who provide content for your paysite. You also want to get a good paysite script to run things the right way and not lose hits. If you are starting a pay site, you need to be able to sell the subscriptions yourself before you signup affiliates. If you cannot sell them, why should other people? Paysites can be very pricey when starting them, so I would honestly steer clear unless you had a good 2-3K to spend on the custom content, 1-2K for the paysite script, and another 2-3K for advertising. This is my personal opinion on paysites though, so I don't want to steer anyone into the direction that I know everything about them, because I don't. I've looked into it myself and do not want to do it right now because of the cost involved.

Also, a good thing to know when you start getting good traffic to your site, you can start selling 120X120 banners on your site. You can see what I mean by looking at VIDDEX - Daily Porn For the Daily Viewers and seeing the buttons on the left side. They will sell for a decent amount monthly, and you can also sell "plug packages" where people can buy plugs from you instead of you trading for all of them. I would suggest putting all the money made from plug purchases back into your traffic though. buy plugs from other big sites so you can keep good traffic coming in. I just sold a month package for $150.00 and am buying some plugs on another site with the cash so my traffic continues to grow.

I also have had 4 sales this month so far (todays only the 4th day, so I'm averaging 1 per day right now). Trust me, It can be done. Just work hard and treat your site like a business. You cannot put the site up, and expect to make millions. You have to work hard at it (no pun intended lol)

JUST ADDED INTO THIS POST:

If you are looking for a hosting company that allows adult content, as long as its legal content (and if you are promoting your affiliates, it is legal, You can use HOST GATOR

For 14.95 per month, you get 20GB disc space, and 2,000 GB bandwidth. THIS IS AN AWESOME DEAL for ANYONE STARTING A SITE. I use them for viddex.com since dreamhost is shit and they go down more then the chicks we are promoting :(

Anyways, Hostgator is where its at for good hosting. As long as the content is legal (anything from any affiliate company I've mentioned, or you know of is considered legal content. Just throw the 2257 link up and call it a day).

* yes, I will get a commission for the link above, but if you do not want me to get paid, just type in hostgator.com into your browser. :(

ANOTHER RECENT ADDITION: use the coupon code "jury" for 9.94 off your first month (get the 9.99 package and you got yourself the first month for 5 cents!)

If any of you need to talk to me about anything, or ask questions, feel free to drop a line in this post or PM me. If you need help setting up your site, and/or design, let me know, I've done a couple for people here already and would have no problem doing more. Also, if you want me to cover any other aspects of the adult industry, please just ask, and I'll make a part three ;)

I dabbled a little in the adult industry before going rated-G again. Although I am fairly new to both my experience with adult affiliates is that the conversion rate it way, way to little. Its something like 1:2000 convert. In fact, I am selling my porn blog right now in the market place section which gets about 200 uniques per day steadily yet people convert extremely rarely (if ever).

Now I opened up an information site about VoIP (PPC affiliate advertising) and with about 90 hits from Adwords I already got a conversion. Luck? Maybe.

Just my $0.02.

Yea, porn does convert 1:2000 if you are just getting random niches hitting your site. If you target your site and its visitors, it will get far better results. I am at around 1:36 for 1 site I'm promoting, and 1:207 for another I promote. Then I have one thats 1:1000 or so because its just a random ad I an using from time to time.'

You have to test the waters and make sure if you are promoting MILF, that your traffic is MILF related, and not teen related or something that different. Also, if you are doing SEO for your site, target the specific affiliates names and their site names you are promoting. You will get better conversions with traffic for "Brandi Belle" instead of "Free Porn"

Sounds like you are doing better then me. My site is of a "nice ass" type niche and all my traffic comes from other ass blogs. Still nothing.

Perhaps its just people who want free porn and know the tricks we use to get them to signup already.

1:207 conversion for a porn site is amazing. Even Jon said on Free Internet Radio, just load Webmaster Radio 24/7 that porn affiliate marketing is on a declining end. But hey if you can make those conversions I would never leave. My hats off to you!

I run a large affiliate program for one of the bigger adult video companies so I'll put in my opinion.

In my experience, Video Clip sites like grayvee, etc doesn't seem to do well with $4.95 3 day trial sponsors. The quality of the the traffic seems to be poor in my experience. I think this is why a majority of these type of clip sites promote dating(free email signups)/ Cams/ Avnads / adultadworld.

Also, Bangbros/Nastydollars might not care but alot of sponsors will not give you longer clips - 1-2 min clips if all you have is a small text link to them while your site contains a bunch of ads of other sponsors. This really just depends on the program.

If you are going to get into adult, generally you have the option of PPS or Revshare, You can make a good amount of money with revshare if you take a look at a sites members area to see if people will like it and end up staying. Programs like trafficcashgold, new sensations have great members areas.

Think before you pick a niche, do surfers really care about another ASS site or Big Tits site? Honestly there is too much free porn out there already and unless you are doing something unique with your site, you might want to rethink what you are doing. There are still smaller niches that are Not overpromoted, so do your homework.

Lastly, don't even think about doing a paysite unless you have a 25k-50k budget.

I just added a spot about hosting, and yes, it has my affiliate code in it but its a good company, and has a huge amount of space/bandwidth. ;) great for any adult site hitting 1K-50K daily uniques (also good for 50K+ if you dont host the videos on your server, like I do. I host them at pornotube or another site like that)

This thread is dumb because the adult websites are way oversaturated.

Oh please, everything's oversaturated these days, that doesn't mean there's no money to be made. If you're going to have this attitude, you might as well quit before you get started.

Without going into detail every niche is taken. I have no desire to get into the adult website biz becasue it is sleezy and much less profitable than other niches. Whats even funnier though is that Rob is passing him self as an expert despite making very little money with adult sites. One sale a day..lol kinda lame

What's kinda lame is your attitude in the ~30 posts you've had since you've joined. Since you're such an expert then go ahead and write your own posts that you think are worth a fuck and we'll be the judge.

Damn, I make thousands a month in this over saturated market... damn, i better just give up instead of doubling or tripleing my sales... I actually make more money promoting adult affiliate programs than non-adult affiliate programs, but I am trying to focus on what I know, which is sleeze and less profitable niches.

How about posting what is working for you instead of knocking down the 'other' niches?

I never said I was an expert in anything. What I find ironic though is how robb is passing himself off as some sort of expert at adult website marketing despite making very little money. Is is almost a joke.

I am aware that many people are making thousands or millions of dollars with adult websites BUT this is the case with every niche; even them most saturated of niches.

However, being that it is so saturated the barrier to entry is very high which makes it hard to make moeny as seems to be the case with our so called resident 'expert', robb.

People who aren't making much money shouldn;t write tutorials because if they knew what they were talking about they would be able to make more money. Kinda obvious huh?

Apple D, when you write something of worth, then just maybe that will give you the right to criticize others. Until then, stay the fuck out of threads that don't interest you.

Nice tutorial Rob, ignore the haters.
